Disrespecting All Agreements, The Russian Federation Keeps Striking From the ZNPP and Threatens the Security of Other Ukrainian Nuclear Power Plants

Oleksandriivka, Donetsk The number of Ukrainian users disconnected from the electricity grid is incalculable becausehour after hour, Moscow destroys what Ukrainian technicians painstakingly repair.Russian (i.e., Iranian and Chinese) drones now target almost exclusively Ukrainian energy infrastructure, including nuclear power.
Several media outlets havereportedan alleged agreement between the parties not to engage in battle near the Zaporizhia nuclear power plant, which is illegally occupied by the Russians in Enerhodar.This is completely untruebecause as wedocumentedfrom those very places just a few hours ago Moscow continues to use the protective shells of that facility as a military shield from which it can strike cities like Marhanets and Nikopolwithout receiving an immediate and equivalent response.
Long-range, high-explosive Russian drones targeted the Khmelnytskyi nuclear power plant, narrowly avoiding a repeat of the tragedy thatoccurredon the night of October 2324, 2023.Other drones also flew over the Rivne nuclear power plant.
The level of terror caused by Russian forces on November 8, when they struck critical electrical substations at both sites, reached new heights of recklessness. On the night of Monday to Tuesday,the Chornobyl nuclear power plant temporarily lost external power after the Russians targeted its substations.
Unpunished and evenreintroducedinto international forums that purport to speak of peace,the Russian Federation has launched a new campaign of attacks on Ukrainian energy infrastructure, targeting facilities serving nuclear power plants. This has had further, highly impactful consequences for the daily lives of a nation ravaged by 12 years of war, 4 of which were large-scale.
Without water, in the dark and freezing cold, often for more than 16 hours at a time, many families have confined their living space to a single room, such as the kitchen or bathroom, sealing it off from the rest of the house with plastic sheeting and blankets. Many have their children sleep in tents set up inside their homes, trying to retain as much heat as possible with blankets and pillows.Internet connectivity is extremely limiteddue to mobile network congestion, because fixed-line connectivity is mostly inaccessible. In the brief windows when it is available, it is often deactivated or limited for security reasons, to prevent Russian drones from connecting to Ukrainian mobile cells. When internet access is available, instructions on how to build a candle stove are circulating, along with recommendations from various municipal departments urging an increasingly large segment of the population to equip themselves with an emergency backpack containing food, water, and a power bank for at least three days survival.
Many friends responded to a clip we shared showing the interior walls of our house internal temperature: -2C completely covered in frost, sending us similar clips. Isolated in a now-gray area of Kostiantynivka,a woman wroteI ask for breadin the snow. The message, made even more humiliating and heartbreaking by the fact that no one can now evacuate her, prompted the ЗСУ to send her supplies via drone. A report wefilmedthere is still available on the YouTube channel of La Ragione, alongside women who, like her, had chosen not to leave their homes, no matter what happened.
Sick children are forced to continue treatment in neslamnosti punktiv(resilience points set up in 2022 to provide access to hot drinks, internet, and smartphone charging), andentire families sleep in cars, seeking nonexistent shelter from Russian raids.Others line up for a bowl of hot soup. Between the toxic agents released by the bombs, the vehicle engines, and other internal combustion generators running 24/7, the air is often unbreathable.
The conditions we described as tragic four years ago are even worse today. The nightmare Ukraine has been living through has only worsened since then, while the attention of the media and the so-called free world which these people defend with their sacrifice seems increasingly directed elsewhere.
The continuous blackouts severely damaged the heating system of our house in Western Ukraine while we were here in Donbas.
Without electricity, the pump couldnt circulate the liquid while the fire was lit. As a result, the system caught fire, and the whole house was at risk of burning. Fortunately, it did not, but the whole system needs to be changed, and the house needs to be restored. Tubes are all bent, walls are blackened by haze, and the heating system doesnt work, requiring an entirely new system.
We are doing our best since Allas parents live there, but theres still a lot to work on here, too, as the people around us are in no better situation.

持續的停電嚴重損壞了我們在烏克蘭西部的家中的供暖係統，而我們當時就在頓巴斯。
