, who has written so many beautiful things about me thatI hope I dont disappoint them!Its been a tremendous pleasure to meet her in Kyiv, and knowing its mutual makes me even happier.
What I have witnessed and continue to see daily morally compels me not to remain silent. To record, photograph, and put it all down on paper, sharing everything so that the world understands what russia is doing to Ukraine.
I believework is the furthest word from describing our mission. Those who have both feet on this glorious Land and a functioning heart and mind cannot in any way distance themselves, think of anything else, or forget.Those here have a moral duty not to stay silent, regardless of their beliefs, because its not a matter of faith. It doesnt transcend humanity but reflects our innermost being, our nature, our essence. I strongly feel this and have a burning desire to share what we see and experience with those who are far away but have ears to hear and eyes to see.
Our pens must keep flowing, and we need to burn time like a candle at both ends, as its always too short for what we want to express. I believe our work is as precious as the enormous support from those who read, listen, and then spread our words, so that truth and genuine information prevail over propaganda and disinformation.
Whatever happens to us will be less important than the message we have the power to deliver. It must reach far across space and time, and as long as it revolves around our pens and words, it will be our honor. But when the time comes when our light fades, others must take up the torch with the same moral intensity we feel now. Then our good fortune will be recognized, and it will be said that we lived in the age of heroes.

Flying over the Kharkiv, Sumy, and Chernihiv regions, additional high-explosive drones struck nine civilian buildings (mostly residential) inNovhorod-Siverskyj,Pavlohrad, andPoltavaoil and gas plants located in itsMyrhoroddistrict. The Ukrainian Armed Forces continued to detect drone activity until dawn, while the Russians struck other civilian and energy infrastructure, including that of the DTEK group in Odesa. The attacks were so severe that they led to the introduction of restrictions on industrial electricity consumption across the country between 4:00 PM and 10:00 PM. Throughout the morning, the Russians continued to bomb Ukraine with high-tonnage glide bombs and then with more drones, hitting a kindergarten in Kharkiv just as it was full of children. With volunteers and the national emergency service, medical personnel managed to extract them all from the rubble, but two of the youngest remain in critical condition. A woman was also hospitalized with severe burns all over her body, and a forty-year-old man died. Eight others were taken to the hospital. All the victims were civilians.
