武二郎（即二郎神，如圖2.3-1）回到湖北駐地後，他被巫毒女妖（即熬忖，如圖4）詛咒了的謠言就熄滅了。反而是，他因禍得福，長出了第三隻眼睛的謠言被傳開了。這次戰爭雖然沒搶到很多土地，但也算是個勝仗，他就高興地回華國的首都，永安，述職了。

元始天尊（即太昊，華國的皇帝）親自主持召開了政治局擴大會議，來宣布 “楊戩計劃”。這次會議除了有夏國的代表團參加，還有兩位特別代表（注，熬忖派來的秘密代表）。武二郎的護衛也被邀請去列席旁聽了。

女媧造人計劃到此時已經被實施了34年了。這計劃的實施是從張三郎（即玉皇大帝，太陽神）出生開始算起的；此時他約33或34歲。因應狹穀關戰役的結果，即熬忖對武二郎下蠱成功了（參見2.2節），華國和夏國決定接納熬忖為女媧造人項目的後加入者。此時的女媧造人工程開始由這三個國家共同實施。

The rumor that Martial Second Wolf (aka. Second Wolf God, see fig. 2.3-1) had been cursed by the voodoo demoness was extinguished when he returned to his Hubei Garrison. Instead, the rumor that he had grown a third eye (as in Fig. 4) because of the curse was spread. The war was a victory, even though he didn't grab a lot of land, so he happily returned to the capital of Hua, Yong’an, to report for duty.

Original Sky Honor (i.e. Taihao, the Emperor of Hua) personally presided over an enlarged meeting of the Politburo to come and announce the “Yangjian Plan”. In addition to a delegation from the Xia Kingdom, this meeting also included two special representatives (Note, the secret representatives sent by Aocun). Martial Second Wolf’s guards were also invited to sit in front of the audience.

The Nuwa man creation project had been implemented for 34 years by this time. The implementation of this project began when Third Wolf Zhang (that is Turquoise Emperor, Sun God) was born; he was about 33 or 34 years old at this time. In response to the result of the Battle of Narrow Valley Pass, that is, Aocun succeeded in projecting Carrion Beetles (curse) on Martial Second Wolf (see Section 2.2), Hua and Xia decided to accept Aocun as a latecomer to the Nuwa man creation project.

這時熬忖還不是雲海國的國王，所以大致來說，對於女媧造人工程，這三國各自有不同的稱呼：夏國（如圖3）仍稱呼女媧造人，雲海國（如圖4）稱三足鳥計劃，華國（如圖1）稱作楊戩計劃。楊戩是拯救，救世主的意思，是原始天尊賜予武二郎的新名字。計劃實施的具體措施是，當夏娃（即玉女）給金童（即大禹，黃帝）下蠱成功（參見3.0 阪泉之戰）後，這對兒玉女和金童就交給熬忖（即堯帝，中華帝國的第一任皇帝）和二郎神來教導，成為中華帝國的第二任和第三任皇帝。

在華國政治局擴大會議中午休息的時候，武二郎對護衛說：“你們幫我向元始天尊請個假，說我肚子疼，去看醫生了。”會議再次開始時，武二郎的護衛去向元始天尊為武二郎請假。原始天遵示意他們回去坐下，然後憤怒地大聲說：“我講《中華法典》，故事的主角不來聽，我怎麽講！？” 他又指著武大郎大叫： “你也別聽了！去給你弟弟講明白嘍！”

At this time, Aocun was not yet the king of Cloud Sea Kingdom, so generally speaking, the three kingdoms had different names for the Nuwa man creation project: Xia Kingdom (as shown in Figure 3) still called it Nuwa man creation, Cloud Sea Kingdom (as shown in Figure 4) called it the Three-legged Bird Project, and Hua Kingdom (as shown in Figure 1) called it the Yang’jian Project. Yang’jian means salvation and savior, and it is the new name given to Martial Second Wolf by Original Sky Honor. The specific measures for the implementation of the plan are that when Eve (i.e. the Jade Girl) successfully projects Carrion Beetles (curse; see section 3.0 Battle of Ban Fountain) on the Golden Boy (i.e. Big Yu, Yellow Emperor), the pair of Jade Girl and Gold Boy will be handed over to Aocun (i.e. Emperor Yao, the first emperor of the Chinese Empire) and Second Wolf God for teaching, and they will become the second and third emperors of the Chinese Empire.

During the lunch break of the enlarged Politburo meeting of the State of China, Wu Erlang said to his guards, "Please ask Original Sky Honor for leave for me. I have a stomachache and I'm going to see a doctor." When the meeting started again, Martial Second Wolf's guards went to Original Sky Honor to ask for leave for Martial Second Wolf. Original Sky Honor motioned them to sit down, and then shouted angrily, "I'm going to talk about the Chinese Codex, but the protagonist of the story doesn't come to listen. How can I talk about it!?" He pointed at Martial Big Wolf and shouted, "Don't listen! Go and explain it to your brother!"

2.3-2

武大郎去客棧找武二郎，沒找到，又去太醫院問，醫生說他沒來過，就回家了。他發現武二郎正在他的書房裏翻他的書，氣憤地說：“你又來偷我的書去換羊皮紙！？”

武二郎回答：“真小氣！小時候的事總說它幹啥！？”

武大郎說：“你咋不說你整天禍害人呢！ 這麽重要的會議你都不聽，那你來永安幹什麽來了？”

武二郎回答：“我想向你借幾本奇門遁甲的書！”

武大郎說：“那種書，你根本看不懂，你要它幹什麽？”

Martial Big Wolf went to the inn to look for Martial Second Wolf but couldn't find him. He went to the Imperial Hospital to ask, but the doctor said he had never been there, so he went home. He found Martial Second Wolf flipping through his books in his study, and angrily said, "You come to steal my books again to exchange for parchment!?"

Martial Second Wolf replied: "How stingy! Why do you keep talking about childhood events!"

Martial Big Wolf said: "Why don't you tell me that you are always causing trouble for others! You didn't even listen to such an important meeting, so what are you doing in Yong'an?"

Martial Second Wolf replied: "I want to borrow some ‘Strange Doors of Shield and Armor’ books from you!"

Martial Big Wolf said: "You can't understand that kind of book, what do you want it for?"

武二郎開始給武大郎講前文女媧娘娘給他解釋的奇門遁甲。武大郎氣憤地站了起來，大聲質問：“這是誰告訴你的？”

武二郎看武大郎這麽生氣，認真地回答：“告訴我這事的那個人說，我不能對別人說我曾經向她學習奇門遁甲。她說，在這方麵你是專家。如果你說她講得不對，會壞了她的名聲的！”

武大郎放鬆了下來，說：“那是她就是那麽理解的！事實是這樣的！”接著他開始從孫子兵法的角度來講述奇門遁甲，也幫他再一次解釋了在狹穀關戰役中熬忖是如何使用奇門遁甲的。

Second Wolf began to tell Big Wolf about the “Strange Doors of Shield and Armor” that Nuwa had explained to him in the previous section. Big Wolf stood up angrily and asked loudly: "Who told you this?"

Seeing Big Wolf so angry, Second Wolf answered seriously: "The person who told me this said that I can't tell others that I once learned ‘Strange Doors of Shield and Armor’ from her. She said that you are an expert in this area. If you say that she is wrong, it will ruin her reputation!"

Big Wolf relaxed and said, “That's how she understood it! The facts are like these!” Then he began to talk about “Strange Doors of Shield and Armor” from the perspective of Sun’zi Soldier Strategy, which also helped him explain once again how Aocun used “Strange Doors of Shield and Armor” during the battle of the Narrow Valley Pass.

2.3-3

武二郎再一次叨咕：“巫毒女妖這麽厲害！她是我們華國的大敵，下次我遇見她，一定殺了她！”

武大郎說：“咿！你怎麽那麽想呢！？正邪是從天條（即約櫃，參見16.2節）來判斷的。你能懂一些九黎（即大千世界）是因為熬忖為你開了天眼，種下了慧根；這麽說她是你的神母啊！ 再說，我也曾經在她們的那個巫毒學院學習過，那我是巫毒魔鬼嗎？”

Once again, Second Wolf chattered, ‘The Voodoo Demoness is so powerful! She's a great enemy of our country of Hua, next time I meet her, I'll kill her!’

Big Wolf said, "Hey! Why do you think so? Good and evil are determined by the Sky Clauses (i.e. Covenant Ark, See Section 16.2). You can understand some of the Jiuli (i.e., Nine Crowds, Great Grand World) because Aocun opened your celestial eye and planted your gnostic root; so, she is your godmother! Besides, I used to study at that voodoo academy of theirs, so am I a voodoo demon? "

武二郎聽後，驚訝了：“大哥你曾經在巫毒學院學習過！那個假熬忖說，‘有兩個像你這麽高的小個子，另外一個人是誰？他現在在哪裏？”

武大郎愣住了，心想，“女媧給我的劇本裏沒有這句話呀！” 隨口回答：“瞎說，你聽錯了吧！？”

武二郎回答：“沒錯！我聽她說過兩遍了！”

武大郎心想，“兩遍了！我怎麽沒在《中華法典》的劇本裏看見過呢！哎呀！最近這劇本常改，我得問清楚，別演錯了！”他問武二郎：“你先給我說說誰是那個假熬忖？她是怎麽跟你說那兩個小個子學生的？”

When Martial Second Wolf heard this, he was surprised, “Big brother you once studied at the Voodoo Academy! That fake Aocun said, ‘There are two little men as tall as you’, who is the other one? Where is he now?”

Martial Big Wolf froze, thinking, “This line wasn't in the script Nuwa gave me!” Casually, he replied, “Nonsense, you've heard it wrong!?”

Martial Second Wolf replied, “That's right! I've heard her say it twice!”

Martial Big Wolf thought to himself, “Twice! How come I haven't seen it in the script of the Chinese Codex! Oops! This script has been changed a lot lately, I must ask about it, so I don't play it wrong!” He asked Martial Second Wolf, “Tell me first who is the fake Aocun? What did she tell you about those two short and small students?”

2.3-4

武二郎說：“我問你呢！那另一個小個子是誰？你先回答我！”

武大郎坐下了，在思考。隨後，武二郎看見他的臉色越來越難看，就要哭了。武二郎禁不住了，連忙喊：“哎！哎！你現在是靖王了！我忘了恭喜你了！”

武大郎反應過來了，回答：“是啊！我現在是靖王了，我忘了！謝謝你提醒我！”

武二郎問：“元始天尊（華國的皇帝）封你為靖王，都賞你什麽了？”

武大郎回答：“到現在他還什麽都沒給。飯都快吃不上了，他沒餘錢給我個人，能給我軍費預算的50%，我就滿足了！”

Martial Second Wolf said, "I'm asking you! Who is the other little guy? Answer me first!"

Martial Big Wolf sat down and thought. Then, Second Wolf saw that his face was getting uglier and uglier, and he was about to cry. Second Wolf couldn't help it and shouted, "Hey! Hey! You are the King of Jing now! I forgot to congratulate you!"

Big Wolf reacted and answered, "Yes! I am the Jing King now, I forgot! Thank you for reminding me!"

Second Wolf asked: "Original Sky Honor (King of Hua) named you Jing King, what did he give you as a reward?"

Big Wolf replied: "He hasn't given me anything yet. We can barely afford to eat. He doesn't have any money left for me, but if he can give me 50% of the military budget, I'll be satisfied!"

武二郎說：“他也跟我說了，現在是他執政20多年來最窮的時候，要求我在滿足必須的情況下消減軍費。咱這國家得多長時間能從貧困中緩解過來？”

武大郎回答：“都是讓咱哥兒倆給鬧得（注，武大郎平定了北方，武二郎平定了南方），我看得三五年後才能吃飽飯。你還是先告訴我那個假熬忖說的巫毒院的兩個小個子學生吧！”

Second Wolf said: "He also told me that this is the poorest time in his 20-plus years in power and asked me to cut military spending while meeting necessities. How long will it take for our country to get out of poverty?"

Second Wolf replied: "It's all because of us two brothers (note, Big Wolf pacified the north, Second Wolf pacified the south). I think it will take three to five years before we can have enough food. You should first tell me about the two short students from the Voodoo Academy that the fake Aocun mentioned!"

2.3-5 梁子伯和誇父 Zibo Liang and Kua’fu

武二郎為武大郎講述了2.2.3 《自由戀愛》。武大郎聽明白了，原來是《中華法典》的編委在給武大郎的劇本中刪掉了武二郎和熬忖兩人罵他的相關文字。

武大郎說：“另外那個小個子是我養父梁子伯的兒子，名叫誇父。我稱呼我養父為糧伯。我小時候體弱多病，糧伯常常背著我上學，下學。我生病不能上學的時候，他讓誇父代替我去上學，回來教我。巫毒學院的學費很貴，學校知道了也沒人說什麽。”

“接著糧伯就讓我和誇父交替上學，回來相互教，誰的第一名拿的多誰是太陽。我在家的時候，糧伯教我打猴拳，我的身體就漸漸地好起來了。我的成績好，總考第一，總是太陽，他一直在追我。”

Martial Second Wolf recounted 2.2.3 “Naturally Falling in Love” for Martial Big Wolf. Martial Big Wolf understands that the editorial board of Chinese Codex has deleted the text related to the two, Martial Second Wolf and Aocun, scolding him from the script given to him.

Martial Big Wolf said: “The other little man is the son of my foster father Corn Uncle, named Kua’fu. When I was a child, I was weak and sickly, and Corn Uncle used to carry me to and from school on his back. When I was sick and couldn't go to school, he asked Kua’fu to go to school in my place and come back to teach me. The tuition fees at the Voodoo Academy were very expensive, and no one said anything when the school found out.

“Then Corn Uncle asked me and Kua’fu to take turns to go to school, and when we came back, we would teach each other. Whoever got more first place would be the sun. When I was at home, Corn Uncle taught me Monkeyish martial arts, so I gradually got stronger. I had good grades, always ranked first in the exams, and was always the sun. He was always chasing me.”

武大郎說著，就哭了。武二郎說：“傷心事兒，就別說了。”

武大郎回答：“以前有兩次，我想告訴你，因為怕影響你打仗，沒說。現在不打仗了，我想說給你聽。後來，我就很少看見誇父了。我們的華國內部出現了叛徒，去雲海國告密。老國王派的人接我離開的那天，為了掩護我離開，糧伯又讓誇父穿上了我的校服，代替我去上學了。 再往後，我就不知道了。”

武大郎邊哭邊說：“在我當上將軍後，幾次委托人幫我打聽他們倆的消息，但都沒有回複。我想找到他們的遺骨，送回他們的老家安葬。”

Big Wolf said and cried. Second Wolf said: “Don't say anything sad.”

Martial Big Wolf replied: “Twice before, I wanted to tell you, but didn't because I was afraid it would affect you in the war. Now that we are not fighting anymore, I want to tell you. Since then, I have seen very little of Kua’fu. There was a traitor within our country of Hua who went to the Cloud Sea country to inform us. The day the old king sent people to pick me up and leave, to cover my departure, Corn Uncle had Kua’fu put on my school uniform again and went to school instead. Further on, I don't know.”

As cried, Martial Big Wolf said, “After I became a general, I commissioned people to ask for news of the two of them for me several times, but there was no reply. I want to find their bones and send them back to their old home for a burial.’

潘金蓮（法號石磯娘娘，桃花聖母）說話了：“二叔來了，我看你們倆嘮的熱鬧，就沒過來打攪。這怎麽哭成這樣了！？”

武二郎回答：“大哥想起了小時候的傷心事，沒事！”

武大郎說：“你在這兒住幾天吧！我再給你講講。來了半天了，你去跟你嫂子聊聊，我自己在這裏靜一會兒就好了。”

Goldthread Pan (Juristic fames, Holy Mother of Peach Flower, Stone Jetty Princess, Stone Girl) spoke up, “Second Uncle is here, I saw you two chattering away, so I didn't come over to interrupt. Why is he crying like this!’

Martial Second Wolf replied, “Big brother remembered something sad from his childhood, it's fine!”

Martial Big Wolf said, “Stay here for a few days! I'll tell you more. It's been half a day since you got here, so go talk to your sister-in-law, I'll just be quiet here for a while by myself.”

2.3-6

武二郎就跟著潘金蓮來到了她的會客室。據傳說，潘金蓮的房間充滿著花香，一進入就讓人心情舒暢。他問：“大嫂！我向你打聽個人。20年前你和我大哥結婚的時候，有一位道號太乙的郎中曾經給我大哥治病（參見1.4.1節），他是什麽人？”

潘金蓮說，“他住的聚賢莊，離我們家不遠，是我的一位師父，是一位獸醫。不過他從事過很多行業，例如唱戲，販馬，賣酒。在我家客人多，忙的時候，有時請他來幫忙。你問他幹什麽？”

Martial Second Wolf followed Goldthread Pan to her reception room. According to legend, Goldthread Pan's room was filled with the fragrance of flowers, which made people feel happy as soon as they entered. He asked: "Sister-in-law! I want to ask you about someone. 18 years ago, when you and my elder brother got married, a Taoist doctor named Taiyi treated my elder brother (see section1.4.1). Who is he?"

Goldthread Pan said, "He lives in Gathering Sages Village, not far from our home. He is one of my teacher-fathers, a veterinarian. But he has worked in many industries, such as singing opera, selling horses, and selling liquor. When my family has many guests and is busy, we sometimes ask him to help. What do you ask him for?"

武二郎回答：“沒什麽，我在湖北遇見他了，他說他是豬肉商。我感覺奇怪，他怎麽改行了！你說，他是你的一位師父，你有幾位師父？”

潘金蓮轉臉計算著，說：“哎呀！我有很多師父和師母，隻在典兵學院上學時，就有幾十位。”說著，她還在計算著。

武二郎說：“大嫂你別算了！這種師父和師母我也有很多，數不清！”

Martial Second Wolf replied, "Nothing! I met him in Hubei, he said he is a pork merchant. I feel strange, why did he change his career! You said he is one of your teacher-fathers, how many teacher-fathers do you have?"

Goldthread Pan turned around and counted, saying, "Oh! I have many teacher-fathers and teacher-mothers. When I was studying at the Codex Soldier Academy alone, I had dozens of them." As she spoke, she was still counting.

Goldthread Pan said, "Sister-in-law, don't count anymore! I also have many teacher-fathers and teacher-mothers like this, too many to count!"

潘金蓮問：“你問這個幹什麽？”

武二郎回答：“沒什麽，前幾天女媧對我說，某個人是我的神母，我生氣了。現在看來，那是我一直生活在軍隊裏，脫離了日常社會的現實生活，可丟臉了！”

潘金蓮說：“這沒什麽！偶爾聽見了新詞語，我也不習慣。”

Goldthread Pan asked, ‘What are you asking for?’

Martial Second Wolf replied, ‘Nothing, I got angry the other day when Nuwa told me that a certain person is my godmother. Now it seems that was because I've been living in the army, out of touch with the realities of everyday society, which can be humiliating!’

Goldthread Pan said, ‘It's nothing! Every now and then I hear some new words and don't get used to them too.’

2.3-7楊戩逃跑 Yang’jian Runaway

隨後的五天裏，武大郎結合九黎（義為九眾，大千世界），奇門遁甲，和孫子兵法來給武二郎講解他們倆人的戰爭史。武二郎幾次被訓哭了。第六天早晨，元始天尊傳喚武大郎進宮。武二郎有了逃跑的機會。他偷了幾本兵書，藏在了馬鞍底下的坐墊裏，牽著馬，從後門溜了出來。忽然，他聽見潘金蓮說：“二叔要走了嗎？多住幾天吧！讓你大哥把《孫子兵法》給你講透了！”

武二郎被嚇得一怔，看見潘金蓮正悠閑地坐在門旁邊的凳子上，回答：“啊！嫂子在這裏乘涼呢！我要離開了，麻煩你告訴我大哥說，我就不向他告別了！”

In the following five days, Martial Big Wolf combined Jiuli (i.e., nine crowds, three grand great grand worlds), Strange Doors of Shield and Armor, and Sun’zi Soldier Strategy to explain to Martial Second Wolf their war history. Martial Second Wolf was admonished to cry several times. On the morning of the sixth day, Original Sky Honor summoned Martial Big Wolf to the palace. Martial Second Wolf had a chance to escape. He stole a few military books, hid them in the cushion under the saddle, led the horse, and slipped out through the back door. Suddenly, he heard Goldthread Pan say, "Is the second uncle leaving? Stay a few more days and let your elder brother explain the Sun’zi Solder Strategy to you thoroughly!"

Martial Second Wolf was startled, saw Goldthread Pan sitting leisurely on a stool next to the door, and replied: “Ah! My sister-in-law is here in the cool! I am leaving, please tell my elder brother that I won't bid him farewell!”

潘金蓮回答：“好的，我向他轉達你的話。但是，你怎麽沒拿幾本書走？那麽多書，你都不喜歡嗎？”

武二郎回答：“我怕我把書拿走了，我大哥要看的時候，找不著，耽誤事！”

潘金蓮說：“你拿吧，沒事。你把你拿走的書的名字清單給我就好。他有的書，元始天尊也都有。隨後，我把清單交給原始天尊書房裏的宮女，讓她們為武大郎再複製一套。前幾年，你大哥征服了北方的十幾個國家。別的沒搶著，他繳獲了幾屋子的羊皮紙，都運到皇宮裏了。這麽複製書不需要花錢。”

Goldthread Pan replied, “Yes, I will convey your words to him. But why didn't you take a few books to go? So many books that you don't like?”

Martial Second Wolf replied, “I'm afraid that if I take the book away, my big brother won't be able to find it when he wants to read it, and it will delay affairs!”

Goldthread Pan said, “You take it, it's fine! Just give me a list of the books you took. All the books he has, Original Sky Honor also has. Afterwards, I gave the list to the palace maids in the Original Sky Honor's study and asked them to make another set of copies for Martial Big Wolf. A few years ago, your elder brother conquered more than a dozen countries in the north. He didn't grab anything else, but he seized several rooms of parchment and transported them all to the palace.  It doesn't cost any money to copy the books this way.”

武二郎高興地回去拿書。傭人們幫著把書打捆裝袋，放到了馬上。出來時，他發現潘金蓮還在門口坐著呢，說：“我把清單放在了書房的桌子上了。” 據傳說，這時元始天尊和武大郎正站在他們家的塔樓上目送著楊戩離開。此後，楊戩打仗總是兵不血刃，運籌帷幄之中，決勝千裏之外。

Martial Second Wolf happily went back to get the books. The servants helped to bundle the books into bags and put them on the horse. When he came out, he found Goldthread Pan still sitting at the door and said, "I put the list on the table in the study." According to legend, Original Sky Honor and Martial Big Wolf were standing on the tower of their house at this time, watching Yang'jian leave. From then on, Yang’jian always won battles without bloodshed, and he was able to plan and win battles thousands of miles away.

 

2.3.2 九黎 Nine Crowds

武二郎回到了乾塘關，從媽祖借了些金子，湊足了20公斤黃金就去找張屠戶（又名張三郎，玉皇大帝）還錢了。張屠戶一見二哥來看他了，驚歎道：“你這名震華夏的大將軍來看望我這無名草民，請受小弟一拜！”

武二郎上前就拉起了張屠戶，說：“你說的無名是暗淡無光的無明（參見14.1節），是無知。你現在衣食住行無憂，膝下有七個女兒，你就是福。我確實是名滿華夏，但我整天所作都是生死抉擇，我就是生死的痛苦。”

張屠戶還在思考時，武二郎結下了馬背上的黃金，說：“我在鯢丸宮治病時，把20公斤黃金的買蘑菇錢記在了你的賬上，現在還給你。”

Martial Second Wolf returned to Qiantang Pass, borrowed some gold from Mazu, gathered 20 kilograms of gold and went to see Butcher Zhang (aka Third Wolf Zhang, Turquoise Emperor) to pay back the money. Butcher Zhang, upon seeing that Second Brother had come to see him, marveled, “You, the great general who has shaken Hua and Xia, have come to visit me, a fameless grasshopper, please accept my humble obeisance!”

Martial Second Wolf stepped forward and pulled Zhang the Butcher up, saying, "The fameless-ness you said is the non-light (i.e., less light; see Section 14.1), which is ignorance. You have no worries about clothing food dwelling and travelling, and you have seven daughters; you are fortunate itself. I am indeed famous throughout Hua and Xia, but all I do every day are life and death decisions; I am the pain itself of life and death."

While Butcher Zhang was still thinking, Martial Second Wolf took the gold on his horse's back and said, "When I was treated in Salamander Bolus Palace, I put the money for buying mushrooms with 20 kilograms of gold into your account. Now I give it back to you."

張屠戶回答：“這黃金就當是恭喜你成為元帥的賀禮！”

武二郎回答：“你聽誰說的，我不是元帥。”

張屠戶回答：“我不是聽別人說的。我是這樣想的。你以前不能晉升為元帥，是因為你的典軍沒有建設好。現在你的天眼開了，你很快就能建設起你自己的典軍。不久之後，你成為元帥是自然而然的事。”

武二郎問：“為什麽你一見到我，就說我的天眼睜開了？”

張屠戶回答：“從剛才我們談話中，你對 ‘無明’ 的理解。”

Butcher Zhang replied, "This gold is a gift to congratulate you on becoming the Full Marshal!”

Martial Second Wolf replied: "Who told you that? I am not a Full Marshal."

Butcher Zhang replied: "I didn't hear that from others. This is what I think. You couldn't be promoted to the Full Marshal before because your codex army was not well built. Now that your celestial eye is open, you will be able to build your own codex army soon. Then, it will be natural for you to become a Full Marshal."

Martial Second Wolf asked: "Why did you say my celestial eye opened when you just saw me?"

Butcher Zhang replied: "From our conversation just now, your understanding of 'non-light’."

武二郎問：“就從我懂那一個詞，你就說我的天眼開了。九黎（如圖2.3.2-23至31）意味著整個世界啊！”

張屠戶是《寶蓮燈》的作者，知道武二郎以前不懂九黎，就詳細地回答：“九黎就兩個字。黎，義為眾，也可以理解為黎明，少光，無明。九黎就是九眾（如圖23至31；詳細的解釋參見第13章《苦諦》），就是九個無明，就是九個無知。”

武二郎驚訝地說：“你說的跟《寶蓮燈》書上說的不一樣啊！”

張屠戶回答：“我也有《寶蓮燈》。我可以用七種不同的說法來解釋九黎，得出的結論都是一樣的。九黎就是九眾，也可以理解為從低到高的九個世界。這九個世界的九地都是煩惱，糊塗，身土，故稱九地。這九個世界各有自己的天，所以就有了九天的說法。天是清淨，深奧的知識，和神的意思。你懂得了無明，就得到了九天，所以我說你的天眼睜開了。”

Martial Second Wolf asked: "Just a word I understood, you said my celestial eye was opened. ‘Jiu Li’ (i.e., Nine Crowds, see figs. 2.3.2-23 to31) means the whole world!"

Zhang the butcher is the author of the Lotus Treasury Lamp, knowing that Martial Second Wolf did not understand Jiuli before, he answered in detail: "Jiuli is just two words. Li means crowd, and can also be understood as dawn, little light, and non-light. Jiuli is the nine crowds (as shown in Figures 23 to 31; see Chapter 13, Bitter Crux, for a more detailed explanation), which means nine non-lights, or nine ignorance."

Martial Second Wolf was surprised and said: "What you said is different from what is said in the Lotus Treasury Lamp!"

Butcher Zhang replied, "I also have the Lotus Treasury Lamp. I can explain Jiuli in seven different ways, and the conclusions are all the same. Jiuli means nine crowds, which can also be understood as nine worlds from low to high. The nine lands of these nine worlds are all annoyances, muddles, body soils, so they are called nine lands. These nine worlds each have their own sky, so there is the saying of nine skies. Sky means immaculateness, profound knowledge, and God. You understand nine non-lights now, you get the nine skies, so I say your celestial eye is opened."

武二郎驚訝地說：“我在咱大哥家住了五天，看來我得在你家住七天。我們還是先把黃金送的金庫裏麵去吧！”

張屠戶回答：“二哥，你的這個天眼，又作慧根，100公斤黃金也沒處買去！這麽大的事，我送你二十公斤黃金，你應該收下。媽祖擁有我的金華火腿公司的30%的股份。她有很多黃金在我的金庫裏呢！”

武二郎問：“她有多少黃金！我能看看嗎？

Martial Second Wolf was surprised and said: "I stayed at our eldest brother's house for five days, so it seems I must stay at yours for seven days. Let's send the gold to the vault first!"

Butcher Zhang replied, “Second Brother, this celestial eye of yours, also known as gnostic root, is something 100 kilograms of gold has no place to buy! Such a great affair, I give you 20 kilograms of gold, you should accept it. Mazu owns 30% of my Jin’hua Ham Company. She has quite a bit of gold in my vault!”

Martial Second Wolf asked, “How much gold does she have! Can I see it?”

他們進了金庫。張屠戶指著雜亂無章地堆放著的金銀和錢幣（注，金童就是這種懶散邋遢的性格），說：“這堆是媽祖的，那堆的右側是媽祖的，還有那堆！”

武二郎忽然說，“哎呀！我把金子落在院子裏了。”說著他迅速出了金庫。

張屠戶跟了出來，叨咕：“二哥！現在咱乾塘關的的治安可好了。別說土匪，我都十多年沒聽說有小偷偷東西了！人們都不知道什麽是戰爭了。”

They entered the vault. Butcher Zhang pointed to the gold, silver and coins stacked haphazardly (note, Golden Boy is of this lazy and unkempt character) and said, “This pile belongs Mazu, the right side of that pile belongs Mazu, and that pile!”

Martial Second Wolf suddenly said, "Oh! I left my gold in the yard." He quickly left the vault. Zhang the butcher followed him out and muttered, "Brother! The security in Qiantang Pass is very good now. Not to mention bandits, I haven't heard of thieves stealing things for more than ten years! People don't even know what war is anymore."

回到金庫後，武二郎粗略地計算了一下，心裏想，“你蒙我！我管理著三十萬軍隊的後勤呢！怎麽可能被你的這點兒小伎倆騙了！你這連流動資金都不充足啊！”他卻說：“看你的破房子，我就知道你沒賺多少錢！不過你在媽祖身邊，餓不著！這錢我收下了。我把這20公斤黃金送給媽祖，算咱倆一人一半。”

張屠戶回答：“黃金是你的，你愛送給誰就送給誰。”

After returning to the vault, Martial Second Wolf did some rough calculations and thought to himself, “You hoodwinked me! I'm managing the logistics of 300,000 troops! How could I be fooled by this little trick of yours! You don't even have enough liquidity here!” Instead, he said: “Looking at your shabby house, I can tell you don't make much money! But you're with Mazu, so you won't starve! I'll accept this money, and give these 20 kilograms of gold to Mazu, counting it as half for us both.”

Butcher Zhang replied, “The gold is yours; you can give it to whomever you like.”

2.3.2-3

當他們倆從金庫裏出來，張屠戶說：“二哥來的不巧！你弟妹大巢氏和孩子們都去夏國她們的姥姥家了，下個月XX日才會回來。我得去廚房看看，晚飯吃些什麽？”

武二郎一邊計算著日子，一邊回答：“正好！我和弟妹在一起感覺拘束，也沒給侄女們買什麽禮物！”

這時，媽祖派傭人來了，說：“媳婦大巢氏不在家，你們倆就別做晚飯了。媽祖準備了晚宴，讓你們倆早點回去吃晚飯！”

When the two of them came out of the vault, Butcher Zhang said, “Second brother came at a bad time! Your younger sister-in-law, Big Nest, and the children have gone to their grandma's house in Xia Kingdom and won't be back until the XX day of next month. I must go to the kitchen to see what's for dinner.”

While calculating the date, Martial Second Wolf replied, “Just in time! I feel constrained with my younger sister-in-law, and I haven't bought any gifts for my nieces!”

At that moment, Mazu’s servant came and said, “Mazu said, the daughter-in-law, Big Nest, is not at home, the two of you should not cook dinner. Mazu has prepared a dinner party, so you two should go back early for dinner!”

兩個人進了書房。武二郎看見張屠戶家有滿屋子的書，就說：“哎呀！難怪你沒錢！你的錢都用來買書了！”

張屠戶回答：“是的！這些書的80%是我花重金買來的。二哥你若是喜歡，誰便拿！不過你別看完了書就用來換酒喝。你給我拿回來，我給你西鳳酒！”

武二郎回答：“這麽大方！但我不缺西鳳酒！”

The two went into the study. When Martial Second Wolf saw that Butcher Zhang’s house had a room full of books, he said, “Oops! No wonder you don't have any money! You used all your money to buy books!”

Butcher Zhang replied, “Yes! I spent a lot of money on 80% of these books. If you like them, Second Brother, whichever you like, you can take them! But don't use books to trade for liquor after you've finished reading them. You bring them back to me and I'll give you Xi’feng liquor!”

Martial Second Wolf replied, “So generous! But I don't need Xi’feng alcohol!”

張屠戶說：“你是大將軍，可能真的用得著這書的知識！我隻是個殺豬的，看這書隻是興趣愛好，沒什麽實際意義。啊！我忘記了，你的軍事駐地有幫夏國戍邊的功能。”

這倆人開始談論九黎。傭人又來告訴他們倆，早點兒去媽祖家吃晚飯，別讓她等得時間長了。另外，媽祖讓你們倆走過去，運動運動，別騎馬。

Butcher Zhang said, “You're a great general, so you might really need the knowledge of these books! I'm just a pig killer, reading these books is just a hobby, nothing practical. Ah! I forgot that your military compound has the function of helping the Xia Kingdom to garrison its borders.”

These two started talking about Jiu Li (i.e., Nine Crowds, or Nine Dawns). The maid came back to tell the two of them to go to Mazu’s house early for dinner, so as not to make her wait too long. Also, Mazu told the two of you to walk over there and exercise, don't ride horses.

2.3.2-4

這倆人決定一邊向媽祖家走一邊說話。忽然，武二郎問：“三郎，你記不記得一個叫做太乙的湖北的豬肉商？”

張屠戶還在思考問題，想了很長的時間，才回答：“啊！是有一個山東省清河縣的老頭子，名叫太乙！他常和一群豬肉商到我這混吃混喝。你問他幹啥？”

武二郎回答：“就是他！”接著，他述說了《瑤池聖火》（參見2.2.2節）中，太乙救了他。

These two decided to talk as they walked toward Mazu’s house. Suddenly, Martial Second Wolf asked, “Third Wolf, do you remember a pork merchant from Hubei called Tai’yi?”

Butcher Zhang was still pondering the question and thought for a long time before answering, “Ah! There was an old man from Clear-water County in Shandong Province named Tai’yi! He often comes to my place with a group of pork merchants to eat, drink, and take pork and alcohol. Why do you ask him?”

Martial Second Wolf replies, “That's him!” He then recounted that in Sacred Fire of Yao Pond (cf. Section 2.2.2), Tai’yi had saved him.

武二郎接著說：“當時我就問他，‘我怎麽報答你呀？’他回答，‘我去你弟弟張屠戶那兒，他總是用質量不合格的豬肉招待我。他以為我不知道，我就是不好意思說。如果你弟弟能用合格的豬肉招待我，我就滿足了！’我回答，‘我會告訴我弟弟，我保證以後他會用最好的的豬肉招待你！’”

張屠戶反問：“他真這麽說的？”

武二郎回答：“他就是這麽說的！他幫你賣豬肉，是貴賓！你咋還給他們吃質量不合格的豬肉呢？”

Martial Second Wolf continues, “At that time I asked him, ‘How can I repay you?’ He replied, 'When I go to your brother Butcher Zhang's place, he always treats me with pork of substandard quality. He thought I didn't know, and I was just too embarrassed to say anything. If your brother could entertain me with qualified pork, I would be satisfied!' I replied, 'I'll tell my brother, and I promise that in the future he'll entertain you with the best pork!'”

Butcher Zhang asked back, “Did he really say that?”

Martial Second Wolf replied, “That's what he said! He helped you sell pork and is a VIP! Why do you still give them pork of substandard quality?”

張屠戶說：“他們都那麽大歲數了，能吃出啥好賴！？實際都是好豬肉，差別很小。每次來都連吃帶拿的！奇怪了！我給他的酒裏摻水了，他都不知道！他還能吃出豬肉質量不合格！？”

武二郎又問：“那你為什麽還給他帶走些豬肉呢？”

張屠戶回答：“他總說他幫我賣出肉了，向我要報酬。實際上整個山東省的銷售量都沒有給他的報酬多。”

武二郎說：“那你就每年按照他索要的數量的三倍給他質量合格的豬肉。”

張屠戶回答：“行！”

Butcher Zhang said, “They're all so old, what can they eat that's good and bad! It's all good pork, with very little difference. Every time they come, they eat and take it with them! That's strange! I watered down his alcohol, and he didn't even know it! He can still eat out the pork quality is not up to par!?”

Martial Second Wolf asked again, “Then why did you also let them take some pork?”

Butcher Zhang replied, “He always said he helped me sell pork and asked me for payment. The entire Shandong Province didn't sell as much as it paid him.

Martial Second Wolf said, “Then you will give him pork of satisfactory quality every year at three times the quantity he demands.”

Butcher Zhang replied, “OK!”

武二郎又問：“剛才你說，你給他喝摻水的酒。他能喝幾杯酒！你為啥要摻水呢？”

張屠戶回答：“啊！二哥你不知道，我貸款買下了夏國的西鳳酒廠。太乙還朝我要西鳳酒！”

武二郎驚奇地問：“你從哪裏貸的款？”

張屠戶回答：“從大巢氏她媽。”

武二郎氣憤地說：“你從她借錢買她的酒廠！難怪她說你總是占她的便宜，被氣得睡不著覺！”

Martial Second Wolf asked again: "Just now you said that you gave him liquor mixed with water. How many glasses of alcohol can he drink! Why did you mix water?"

Zhang the butcher replied: "Ah! Second brother, you don't know, I bought Xi’feng liquor in Xia State with a loan. Taiyi also asked me for Xi’feng liquor!"

Martial Second Wolf asked in amazement, “Where did you get the loan from?”

Zhang Butcher replied, “From Big Nest’s mom.”

Martial Second Wolf said angrily, “You used the money you borrowed from her to buy her liquor plant! No wonder she said you always took advantage of her and was so angry that she couldn't sleep!”

張屠戶回答：“可不是那麽回事！她總跟她閨女叨咕，‘那個西鳳酒廠快倒閉了，她要沒酒喝了’。她讓我從她貸款買西鳳酒廠。貸款的利息特別高，而且酒的價錢由她定，所以我永遠也還不清貸款，就隻是管理酒廠。我就掙個辛苦錢。她那是樂得睡不著覺了。”

武二郎不耐煩地說：“那你就按照太乙索要的豬肉和西鳳酒的數量的三倍，每年給他送去合格的產品！我給你錢，你算算，得多少錢？”

張屠戶回答：“好！我每季度派人給他送過去！當然要用最好的產品給救命恩人！你不用給我錢，沒多少錢！他都那麽大歲數了，活不了幾年了！”

Butcher Zhang replied, “It's not like that! She was always complaining to her daughter, 'That Xi’feng plant is going out of business, she's going to run out of alcohol.' She asked me to take out a loan from her to buy the Xi’feng Distillery. The interest rate on the loan is very high, and she sets the price of the liquor, so I'll never be able to pay back the loan, just manage the liquor plant for her. I just earn some hard-earned money. She's so happy that she can't sleep.”

Martial Second Wolf said impatiently, “Then you will send him qualified products every year according to three times the amount of pork and Xi’feng alcohol Taiyi demanded! I'll pay you, do the math, how much will it cost?”

Butcher Zhang replied, “Good! I'll send someone to send it to him every quarter! Of course I must use the best products for our savior! You don't have to pay me, not much! He's so old, won't live for many years!”

武二郎說：“酒和火腿的保質期都很長，你一年送一次就行了，為啥還要按季度送？”

張屠戶回答：“給他送過去後，他就請客送禮！消耗沒了，他還要！”

武二郎聽了之後，感覺不放心（注，這表明他的覺悟特質很強），問：“那你什麽時候讓人送過去？”

張屠戶回答：“下個月我就親自給他送過去。以後每季度初，我按照他索要的豬肉和西鳳酒的數量，給他質量合格產品！讓傭人給他送去。”

Martial Second Wolf said, “Alcohol and ham have a long shelf life, you can just send them once a year, why do you need to send them quarterly?”

Butcher Zhang replied, “After I send them to him, he invites people and give them out as gifts! When it's gone, he wants more!”

After Martial Second Wolf heard this, he felt uneasy (note, this shows that he has a strong conscientious trait), and asked, “Then when will you have someone send it over?”

Butcher Zhang replied, “I will personally deliver it to him next month. In the future, at the beginning of each quarter, I will give him qualified products in accordance with the quantity of pork and Xi’feng alcohol he requested! Have the servants deliver them to him.”

 

2.3.3 媽祖家宴 Mazu's Family Feast

武二郎（如圖2.3.3-2所示）和張屠戶（如圖5）到媽祖（如圖1）家時，晚飯已經準備好了，媽祖正坐在飯桌旁等著他們倆。她看見那20千克黃金拎回來了，就問。武二郎說， “三弟把這金子作為恭喜我升任大元帥的賀禮，送給我了。我們倆決定把這金子算我們倆一人一半，孝敬給您。”

媽祖回答：“你回來後，拿著金子就去找張三郎了。你剛離開，元始天尊的使者就來了，跟我說了你這次回永安的經過。我聽明白了！這次你能回來陪我吃飯，全是女媧娘娘保佑的結果。這金子我收下了。”

When Martial Second Wolf (shown in Fig. 2.3.3-2) and Butcher Zhang (fig.5) arrived at Mazu's (fig.1) house, dinner was ready, and she was sitting at the dining table waiting for them. Mazu saw that they had carried the 20 kilograms of gold back, asked. Martial Second Wolf said: “Third Brother gave me this gold as a congratulatory gift for my promotion to Full Marshal. We both decided to honor you with half this gold for each of us.”

Mazu said: “When you came back, you took the gold and went to your third brother’s house. Just after you left, a messenger from Original Sky Honor came and told me about your return to Yongan this time. I heard and understood! It's all the result of Mother Nuwa's blessing that you came back to dine with me this time. I accept this gold.”

媽祖轉頭對張屠戶（又名張三郎，玉皇大帝，如圖5）說：“我聽說了，你的流動資金不足，消減了金華火腿的產量。那不對！你做這生意到現在14年了，才步入正軌。豬肉的銷量不好，你應該努力擴大生產規模，降低價格。你才34歲，正是男人幹事業的年齡，而你卻擺出了要退休的架勢。這可不像個男人。媽媽我今天高興，這20千克黃金給你了。”

張屠戶剛要張嘴拒絕接受媽祖的賞賜，媽祖又說話了：“別說這黃金的事了！咱娘兒倆多的是時間說話。元始天尊給我布置任務了。我要辦正事！”她轉臉問武二郎：“你這次回家，準備住多長時間？”

Mazu turned to Zhang the Butcher (also known as Third Wolf Zhang, Turquoise Emperor, See Fig. 5) and said, "I heard that you have insufficient working capital and have reduced the production of Jinhua ham. That's not right! You have been in this business for 14 years and it is only getting on track. Pork sales are not good; you should work hard to expand production and lower prices. You are only 34 years old, which is the age for a man to start a career, but you are pretending to retire. This is not like a man. Mom, I am happy today, and I give you these 20 kilograms of gold.”

Just as Butcher Zhang was about to open his mouth and refuse to accept Mazu's reward, Mazu spoke again: “Let's not talk about the gold! We two have plenty of time to talk. Original Sky Honor (King of Hua currently) has given me an assignment. I'm going to do the right affair!” She turned to Martial Second Wolf and asked, “How long are you going to stay at home this time?”

張屠戶回答：“七天。”

武二郎回答：“十五天。我準備從這裏去夏國辦些事。”

張屠戶說：“你弟媳婦大巢氏現在在夏國的皇宮呢。你七天後出發，到達夏國皇宮時，她還沒離開。那夏國的女王就會請你喝酒。”

武二郎回答：“我就是不想和她一起喝酒，才決定推遲七天從這裏出發。”

張屠戶尷尬了。媽祖笑著對他說：“你二哥仍然是個大男孩兒，害羞！”

Butcher Zhang replied: “Seven days.”

Martial Second Wolf replied: “15 days. I'm going to go to Xia kingdom to do some business from here.”

Butcher Zhang said: “Your younger sister-in-law, Big Nest, is now in the imperial palace of Xia. You will set out seven days later and arrive at the Xia kingdom's palace before she leaves. Then the woman emperor of Xia will invite you for a drink.”

Martial Second Wolf replied: “It was because I didn't want to drink with her that I decided to postpone my departure from here for seven days.”

Butcher Zhang was embarrassed. Mazu laughed at him and said: “Your second brother is still a big boy, shy!”

2.3.3-2

媽祖又對張屠戶說：“這次你二哥回永安，元始天尊安排你大哥，靜安王武大郎，給他講《孫子兵法》。他不聽！他從後門跑出來了。你大嫂潘金蓮勸他多住幾天。他都沒回答。” 媽祖轉臉對武二郎說：“元始天尊指示我。讓我看著你，你要好好地跟你三弟學習《寶蓮燈》。你還逃跑不？你若是再逃跑，我就騎著驢追你去！”

武二郎回答：“不逃跑了！媽媽都這麽說了，我還怎麽逃跑！”

Mazu also said to Butcher Zhang: “This time, when your second brother returned to Yongan, Original Sky Honor arranged for your elder brother, Martial Big Wolf Jing King, to give him a lecture on Sun’zi Soldier Strategy. He didn't listen! He ran out the back door. Your sister-in-law, Goldthread Pan, persuaded him to stay a few more days. He didn't even answer.” Mazu turned her face to Martial Second Wolf and said: “Original Sky Honor instructed me! Let me keep an eye on you, and you should learn the Treasury Lotus Lamp from your third brother properly. Are you still running away? If you run away again, I will chase you on a donkey!”

Martial Second Wolf replied: “No more running away! How can I run away when mom has said so!”

媽祖又對武二郎說：“元始天尊說，‘《寶蓮燈》和《孫子兵法》是當今世界的兩部奇書，你都用得著。這兩本書的作者就是你三弟張屠戶和你大哥武大郎。這兩本書是現在華國和夏國最流行的兩本書。夏國的女王蔻珠妹妹也是這麽跟我說的。女媧娘娘也跟我說過，‘當今世上，你三弟張屠戶的天眼最好！’原始天尊給我布置的任務就是，‘看著你，讓你向你三弟把《寶蓮燈》學習明白嘍！’ 你能讓我完成任務不？”

武二郎滿麵羞愧地回答：“我努力向三弟學習！”

Mazu then said to Martial Second Wolf: “Original Sky Honor said, ‘Treasury Lotus Lamp and Sun’zi Soldier Strategy are two marvelous books in today's world, both of which you can use.’ The authors of these two books are your third brother, Zhang the Butcher, and your elder brother, Martial Big Wolf. These two books are the two most popular books in Hua and Xia Kingdom now. Sister Kou’zhu, the woman emperor of Xia Kingdom, told me the same affairs. Princess Nuwa also told me, 'In today's world, your third brother, Third Wolf Zhang, has the best Celestial Eye!' Original Sky Honor's task for me is, 'To look at you, so that you can learn from your third brother to understand the Treasury Lotus Lamp!' Can you let me fulfill my task?”

Martial Second Wolf replied with a face full of shame: “I will endeavor to learn from Third Brother!”

媽祖又轉臉向張屠戶，問：“你給我交個底兒！你能把《寶蓮燈》給你二哥講明白嘍不？”

張屠戶自信滿滿地說：“對於沒經曆過四禪天的人，我講不明白。我二哥已經經曆過四禪天了，我肯定能給他講明白！”

媽祖又說：“我捉摸著，要不你把重要的條目寫下來，交給你二哥！讓他以後常常看看，別忘嘍！”

張屠戶回答：“四禪天的經曆特殊，一旦經曆了，終生不忘。我給他講明白了，《寶蓮燈》和我二哥就聚變成為一個整體了。所有我要講的重要內容都寫在寶蓮燈裏了。”

Mazu turned to Butcher Zhang and asked, “Give me the bottom line! Can you explain the Treasury Lotus Lamp to your second brother?”

Butcher Zhang said confidently: “For those who have not experienced the Fourth Meditation Sky, I cannot explain it. My second brother has already experienced the Fourth Meditation Sky, so I can explain it to him!”

Mazu added: “I'm thinking, why don't you write down the important entries and give them to your second brother! Let him look at it often in the future, and don't forget it!”

Butcher Zhang replied: “The experience of the Fourth Meditation Sky special; once experienced, it is never forgotten. Once I have explained it to him, the Treasury Lotus Lamp and my second brother will converge to become one. All the important affairs I have to say are written in the Treasury Lotus Lamp.”

媽祖叨咕：“這話，我聽著放心！那我就決定了，‘你們晚上來我這裏吃飯，睡覺。早晨，吃完飯，你們倆就去你們家討論《寶蓮燈》。你們倆趕緊吃飯吧，要不飯菜都涼了！”

武二郎用筷子夾起了一片兒金華火腿（如圖4），問張屠戶：“這豬肉的質量合格不？”

張屠戶抗議道：“質量不合格！但是，這都是因為媽祖不吃質量合格的豬肉。有幾次，我讓媽祖品嚐一下質量合格的豬肉，她都不嚐！”

媽祖笑著說道：“我怕吃上癮了，你賺不到錢責怪我吃得多！”

Mazu chattered: “That's reassuring to hear! Then I decided, 'You will come to me at night to eat and sleep. In the morning, after breakfast, you two will go to your house to study the Treasury Lotus Lamp. You two hurry up and eat, or the food will get cold!”

Martial Second Wolf picked up a slice of Jinhua ham (see fig. 4) with his chopsticks and asked Butcher Zhang: “Is the quality of this pork up to par?”

Butcher Zhang protested: “The quality is not up to par! But it's all because Mazu doesn't eat pork of passable quality. There were times when I asked Mazu to taste the pork that was of passable quality, but she wouldn't even taste it!”

Mazu laughed and said: “I'm afraid that if I get addicted to it, you won't be able to make any money and blame me for eating too much!”

媽祖又問張屠戶，“你教你二哥《寶蓮燈》（即大千世界，亦作九黎，參見第13章《苦諦》）的時間緊不？我聽你們的談話，好像不是很困難。”

張屠戶回答：“不緊，時間充裕！聽你一說，我就明白了。女媧娘娘和我大哥武大郎已經給我二哥講明白了。他現在已經位列仙班了。原始天尊的意思是讓我來完成他們的工作，讓我二哥成為寶蓮燈來拯救世界。”

Mazu then asked Zhang the Butcher: “Are you short on time to teach your second brother the Treasury Lotus Lamp (i.e., Great Grand Worlds, also known as the Nine Crowds; see Chapter 13, ‘Bitter Crux’)? I listened to your conversation, and it didn't seem to be very difficult.”

Zhang the Butcher replied: "Not tight, time is plentiful! I understand what you said. Goddess Nuwa and my eldest brother Martial Big Wolf have explained everything to my second brother. He is now a member of the immortal class. Original Sky Honor wants me to complete their works and let my second brother become the Treasury Lotus Lamp to save the world."

媽祖叨咕，“是這麽回事！” 然後她轉臉對武二郎說，“使者對我說，‘咱們華國現在的五個軍區，你和你大哥各負責一個。元始天尊批你大哥的軍事預算最緊，隻給50%。他給你的預算最寬鬆，幾乎你報上去多少，他就批給你多少。’ 我現在懂了，他對你大哥最放心，對你最不放心！”

Mazu muttered: "That's what happened!" Then she turned to Martial Second Wolf and said: "The messenger said to me, 'We now have five military regions in Hua, and you and your elder brother oversee one each. Original Sky Honor approved the tightest military budget for your elder brother, only giving him 50%. The budget for you is the most generous, he approves almost whatever you submit.' Now I understand, he trusts your elder brother the most and you the least!"

媽祖又轉臉對張屠戶說：“有時間好！相親去！我聽說西南三十裏桃花凹有個劉員外，名聲挺好。他女兒桃花女的人品不錯！咱倆也跟著去，幫你二哥好好看看那個桃花女（參見15.6《桃花劫》）！”

張屠戶說：“哎呀媽呀！我二哥現在是華國的大將軍，比你家的那位我的曾曾外祖父的大將軍大十幾倍呢！很多王公貴族的女兒，我二哥都看不上眼，怎麽能看上一個村姑呢！”

Mazu turned her face to Butcher Zhang again and said, “It's good to have time! Go on a blind date! I've heard that there's a Publican Liu in Peach Flower Village, 30 miles to the southwest, who has a pretty good reputation. His daughter, Peach Flower girl, is pretty and smart! Let's go along and help your second brother take a good look at that Peach Flower girl (see 15.6 Peach Flower Catastrophe)!”

Butcher Zhang said, “Oh! Dear Mother! My second brother is now a great general of the Hua Nation, more than ten times greater than the great general of my great-great-grandfather in your family! Many daughters of princes and nobles, my second brother doesn’t even look at them, how can he like a village girl!”

媽祖又說：“典兵學院的院長，劉太歲，劉公的級別和我一樣高。他家就在咱這乾塘關的東郊。元始天尊每次來看我，都會到他家坐一會兒。他的女兒劉健君我見過幾次，挺好。要不，明天下午咱們娘仨去她家坐一會兒？”

張屠戶（又名玉皇大帝）恍然大悟地回答：“那個劉健君的男朋友，名叫盧岩，我見過幾次！前幾天我還在白娘子和許仙相遇的那個斷橋邊看見他了呢！他說他正在公元21世紀重新編輯《中華法典》，但他還沒得到主編劉建君（參見7.2 節《劉建軍》）的同意。”

Mazu said again: "The president of Codex Soldier Academy, Longevity Liu, Publican Liu is of the same rank as me. His home is in the eastern suburbs of this Qian’tang Pass. Whenever Original Sky Honor comes to visit me, he will go to his home to sit for a while. I have met his daughter Eve Liu several times. She is very nice. How about we go to her home tomorrow afternoon to sit for a while?"

Butcher Zhang (a.k.a. Sun God) replied with a sudden realization, “That Eve Liu's boyfriend, named Adam Luyan, I've seen him a few times! I even saw him the other day by that broken bridge where the White Lady and Xu’xian met! He said he's re-editing the Chinese Codex in the 21st Century C.E., but he hasn't gotten permission from the editor-in-chief, Eve Liu (Cf. 7.2 Eve Liu).”

媽祖搶白：“沒結婚就不算！我隻是說咱們去劉太歲家坐一會兒，又不是去搶她們家的閨女！”

武二郎說：“你們倆說話，我聽著就累了。我已經有中意的了。我這次計劃去杭州就想讓女媧娘娘幫我出個主義，送給那個女的一件什麽禮物！？”

Mazu retorted, “It doesn't count if they're not married! I'm just saying that we're going to sit at Longevity Liu's house for a while, it's not like we're going to steal their daughter!”

Martial Second Wolf said, “I'm exhausted for listening to you two talks. I already have a favorite. I'm planning to go to Hangzhou this time just to ask Nuwa to help me come up with an idea on what kind of gift to give to that woman!?”

2.3.3-6

媽祖高興地說，“好計劃！我在女媧那兒也有點兒麵子。看在我的麵子上，女媧能幫你好好地籌劃！她是誰家的閨女呀？”

武二郎立刻站起來了，說：“抱歉！我得去方便一下！”

媽祖問張屠戶：“發生了什麽事？”

Mazu said happily, “Good plan! I have some face with Nuwa. For my sake, Nuwa can help you with a good plan! Whose daughter, is she?”

Martial Second Wolf immediately stood up and said, “Sorry! I must go and facilitate!”

Mazu asked Zhang the Butcher: "What happened?"

張屠戶回答：“我二哥所處的政治環境複雜，另外他這個人叫真！孩子出生之前，他就不會告訴咱們他結婚了！”

媽祖說：“這說的是他！你別老跟我唱反調啊！你二哥都已經36歲了！若不是他打仗忙，人們都得議論他患了斷袖之癖。”

張屠戶回答：“好！我順著媽祖說。”

Zhang the Butcher replied: "My second brother is in a complicated political environment, and he is a very honest person! He would not tell us that he was married before the child was born!"

Mazu said: "This is about him! Don't always contradict me! Your second brother is already 36 years old! If he wasn't busy fighting, people would say he has a homosexual habit."

Zhang the butcher replied: "Okay! I will agree with Mazu."

武二郎回來後，媽祖對他說，“你去找女媧娘娘辦事，給她的禮物可不能馬虎。你把你給我的那兩瓶茅台給她吧！”

武二郎問：“你的茅台是從哪裏來的？誰送的？”

媽祖說：“你給我的！我看你給我的禮包裏有兩瓶茅台酒（如圖6）！”

When Martial Second Wolf returned, Mazu said to him, “You went to Nuwa on business, so you can't be sloppy with your gifts to her. Give her the two bottles of Maotai you gave me!”

Wu Martial Second Wolf asked, “Where did you get the Maotai? Who gave it to you?”

Mazu said, “You gave it to me! I see two bottles of Maotai (See Fig. 6) in the gift bag you gave me!”

武二郎說：“那兩瓶茅台酒是假的。那禮包是我在湖北出發時，士兵們包起來的。我忘記把那兩瓶酒拿出去了。”

媽祖問：“你怎麽知道那是假酒呢？”

武二郎說：“聽我大哥給我講解狹穀關戰役時，我才知道那酒是熬忖從福建買的假酒，用來騙我的。”

Martial Second Wolf said, “Those two bottles of Maotai are fake. That gift bag was wrapped up by the soldiers when I left in Hunan. I forgot to take those two bottles of alcohol out.”

Mazu asked, “How did you know they were fake Maotai?”

媽祖驚恐地轉臉對張屠戶說：“我聽了，怎麽感覺這麽害怕呢！？”

張屠戶說：“你害怕，給我！福建分廠產的茅台酒也是茅台酒啊！”

媽祖立刻對傭人說：“把那兩瓶茅台酒拿來，倒在洗手盆裏！”

Martial Second Wolf said, “When I listened to my elder brother explaining the battle of Narrow Valley Pass to me, I realized that the Maotai alcohol was a fake bought by Aocun from Fujian and used to cheat me.”

Mazu turned his face in horror to Zhang the Butcher and said, “Why do I feel so scared when I heard that!?”

Butcher Zhang said, “You're scared, give it to me! The Maotai alcohol produced by the Fujian branch is also Maotai alcohol!”

Immediately, Mazu said to the servant, “Bring those two bottles of Maotai alcohol and pour them into the washbasin!”

當傭人把茅台酒倒進洗臉盆後，滿屋子飄著酒香。張屠戶興奮地說：“媽祖有錢！價值六百兩銀子的兩瓶茅台酒用來洗手；我得先洗！”說著，他站起來，就要去洗手。”

媽祖厲聲喝道：“你給我坐下！”然後她對武二郎說：“你自己把臉盆裏的東西倒進廁所裏去！”

武二郎回來後，媽祖說：“吃的東西都這麽不小心！我這三個兒子，就你總讓我擔心。給女媧的禮物還是送杜康酒如圖（亦作典酒，如圖7）！元始天尊剛給我送來了杜康的孫子親手釀的杜康酒。禮包還沒拆開呢！不用拆了，就那麽原包給女媧！元始天尊辦事靠譜，禮物也體麵！”

When the servant poured the Maotai liquor into the wash basin, the whole room was filled with the aroma of liquor. Butcher Zhang said excitedly: "Mazu is rich! Two bottles of Maotai liquor worth six hundred taels (30 kilograms) of silver are used to wash hands; I must wash first!" As he said that, he stood up and was about to wash his hands.

Mazu snapped, “Sit down!” Then she said to Martial Second Wolf, “Pour the contents of the washbasin into the toilet yourself!”

When Martial Second Wolf returned, Mazu said, “You are so careless with food! Of my three sons, you're the only one who always worries me. It's better to give Nuwa a gift of Du’kang Alcohol (aka. Codex Alcohol, See Fig. 7)! Original Sky Honor has just sent me Du’kang Alcohol, hand-brewed by Du’kang's grandson. The gift package hasn't been opened yet! No need to open it, just give it to Nuwa in that original package! Original Sky Honor is reliable, and the gift is decent!”

2.3.3-7 蔻珠和玉珠 Kou'zhu (Juvenile Pearl) and Yu'zhu (Jade Pearl)

媽祖又對武二郎說，“我要是再年輕幾歲，我也跟你去夏國的首都，杭州。我想再看看蔻珠妹妹（即夏國的國王）。你不知道，‘她看你三弟的眼神總是那麽火辣辣的，像是在看神似的。’我頭幾次和她，還有你三弟一起喝酒時，我就在琢磨。這事當時就被你三弟媳婦，大巢氏，發現了。她跟我叨咕，‘我媽看三郎總那樣兒，開始時，我還以為是因為我呢。後來我發現我隻是她對張三郎情感的一小部分！’”

When Martial Second Wolf returned, Mazu said to him, “If I were a few years younger, I would go with you to the capital of Xia, Hangzhou. I want to see Sister Kou’zhu (i.e., Juvenile Pearl, king of Xia Kingdom) again. You don't know, 'She always looks at your third brother with such fiery eyes, as if she were looking at God.' The first few times I drank with her, and your third brother, I kept thinking about it. This was then discovered by your third brother's wife, Big Nest, at the time. She muttered to me, 'My mom always looks at Third Wolf like that, and at first, I thought it was because of me. Then I realized that I was only a small part of her feelings for Third Wolf Zhang!'”

張屠戶驚訝地問：“你沒問過為什麽嗎？”

媽祖回答：“問過兩次。她都回答，‘我總看三郎像似我的玉珠妹妹！’我問玉珠是誰？她吱吱唔唔，我也就不好意思再問了。”

張屠戶問：“媽媽！你能再告訴我一遍，你是怎麽撿著我的？”

Butcher Zhang asked in surprise, “Didn't you ask why?”

Mazu replied, “Twice. She replied, 'I always see that Third Wolf looks like my sister Yu’zhu (i.e., Jade Pearl, Mysterious Woman of Ninth Sky, wife of Original Sky Honor) sister!' I asked her who Yu’zhu was. She squealed, so I was too embarrassed to ask again.”

Butcher Zhang asked, “Mom! Can you tell me again how you picked me up?”

媽祖說：“我都跟你說過兩遍了。31年前，我，你爸禮敬公，還有你爺爺鄧國公，坐車從外麵回來，就在乾塘關北麵的路上。我們忽然聽到孩子的哭聲。你爺爺讓我下車去看看。我就去了。哭聲是從一個放在地上的籃子傳來的。那籃子旁邊站著一個官宦家屬打扮的丫鬟（即蔻珠），她看見我來了，笑著指了指籃子，就離開了。她走向一個在遠處哭泣的官宦小姐（即玉珠，張屠戶的母親）。然後，她拉著那位哭泣的小姐離開了。我就把你抱回來了。”

張屠戶問：“你說過一個玉珠。”

Mazu said, “I've told you twice. 31 years ago, I, your father, Publican Etiquette Salutation, and your grandfather, Publican of Deng State, were coming back from outside in a car on the road just north of Qian’tang Pass. We suddenly heard a child crying. Your grandfather told me to get out of the car and go look. So, I went. The cries were coming from a basket placed on the ground. There was a maid with official family dress (i.e., Kou’zhu) standing next to that basket. She saw me coming, smiled, pointed to the basket, and left. She walked towards an official girl (i.e. Yu’zhu, Butcher Zhang's mother) who was crying in the distance. Then she dragged the weeping girl away. And I carried you back.”

Butcher Zhang asked, “You said a jade pearl.”

媽祖回答：“是的！抱你回來後，我們仔細地檢查了你帶來的東西，就隻有你口袋裏的一顆玉珠特別。珠子有‘太陽在燃燒’的刻紋（如圖5，張三郎雕像的胸前所示）。我今天把那顆玉珠給你。以前，我沒給你，是怕你弄丟了。”

Mazu replied, “Yes! After carrying you back, we carefully examined the things you brought with you, and only one jade bead in your pocket was special. The jade pearl has the engraving 'The Sun is Burning' (as shown in Figure 5, on the chest of the statue of Third Wolf Zhang). I am giving you that jade pearl today. Before, I didn't give it to you because I was afraid you would lose it.”

武二郎說，“你們倆誤會我了！我不喜歡和夏國的國王喝酒是因為前年的事。我派人去湘西幫她剿匪，是因為華國和夏國是友好國家，應當互相幫助。但她對欠我們的醫藥費和陣亡士兵的撫恤金賴著不給。我寫信向她要。她就把錢給我送來了，還讓人把一批西鳳酒直接抬到了我的辦公室。我以為那酒是她送給我的禮物，就分給將軍們喝了。後來，賬房先生告訴我，‘夏國送來的東西，加上被我分發給將軍們的西鳳酒，總和剛好是她欠我們的醫藥費和撫恤金’。所以，將軍們都笑話我，‘自費替夏國女王蔻珠賣酒’。”

Martial Second Wolf said, “You two have misunderstood me! I don't like drinking with the king of Xia because of what happened the year before last. I sent people to Xiang’xi to help her fight bandits because Hua and Xia are friendly countries and should help each other. But she refused to pay the medical bills she owed us and the pensions of fallen soldiers. I wrote to her to ask them. She then sent me the money and had a shipment of Xifeng liquor carried directly to my office. I thought the alcohol was a gift from her and distributed it to the generals. Later, the bookkeeper told me, 'The sum of what Xia sent, plus the Xifeng alcohol that was distributed to the generals by me, was just about the amount she owed us for medical bills and pensions'. So, the generals laughed at me, 'selling alcohol for the woman king of Xia, Kou’zhu, at my own expense'.”

媽祖笑著說：“那時，你三弟買下了西鳳酒（如圖8）廠，那筆廣告費應該由你三弟出。”

張屠戶驚訝地說：“我才明白為什麽我買了西鳳酒廠後，訂單立刻增長了200%，原來是二哥給我做的廣告。三年，我總共賺了20千克黃金。看來這20千克黃金是屬於二哥你的。這三年，我白忙了，一兩黃金的辛苦費都沒賺著。”

媽祖忍不住大笑，對張屠戶說：“我就說你那丈母娘猴奸猴奸的，從她那兒賺錢比蹬天都難！哎呀！說走嘴了，幸虧你們的大哥不在家！我一說 ‘猴奸’，他就說我在罵你們的爺爺，鄧國公（參見1.2節）。”

Mazu smiled and said, “At that time, your third brother bought the Xi’feng Liquor (See Fig. 8) Plant, and that advertising fee should be paid by your third brother.”

Butcher Zhang was surprised and said, “I realized why my orders increased by 200% immediately after I bought the Xi’feng Liquor Plant, it was because my second brother advertised for me. In three years, I earned a total of 20 kilograms of gold. It seems that these 20 kilograms of gold belong to you, Second Brother. These three years, I worked for nothing, and I didn't even earn a tael (50 grams) of gold for my hard work.

Mazu couldn't help but laugh and said to Butcher Zhang, “I told you that your mother-in-law is a monkeyish-smart mother-in-law, and it's harder to make money from her than to step up to the sky! Oops! Luckily, your elder brother was not at home! As soon as I say 'monkeyish-smart’, he would say I was scolding your grandfather, State Publican Deng (cf. 1.2).”

張屠戶說：“二哥，這20千克黃金你還是拿走吧！”

媽祖立刻說：“我說你別再說黃金的事了。他吃穿住行都是國家花錢。他不缺錢！我管這些年帳本了，清楚的很！”

武二郎對張屠戶說：“我真不缺錢。這次是我兩三年來第一次花自己的錢。我都想不起來上一次花自己的錢是什麽時候了。”

Butcher Zhang said, "Brother, you should take these 20 kilograms of gold!"

Mazu immediately said, "I told you to stop talking about gold. His food, clothing, housing and transportation are all paid for by the state. He is not short of money! I have managed the account books for these years, and I know everything clearly!"

Martial Second Wolf said to Butcher Zhang, "I am really not short of money. This is the first time I have spent my own money in two or three years. I can't even remember the last time I spent my own money."

2.3.3-9

幾天後，武二郎想去夏國的皇宮喝酒了，向媽祖請求允許他離開。媽祖征求張屠戶的意見。

張屠戶回答：“該說的，我已經從多個方麵，不同的角度說了多遍了。寶蓮燈需要在現實生活中反複驗證，才能完全掌握。我同意我二哥離開。”

媽祖就也同意他離開了。

A few days later, Martial Second Wolf wanted to go to the palace of Xia State to drink, and asked Mazu to allow him to leave. Mazu asked Zhang the Butcher for his opinion.

Zhang the Butcher replied: "I have said what I should say many times from many aspects and different angles. The Treasury Lotus Lamp needs to be verified repeatedly in real life before it can be fully mastered. I agree that my second brother can leave."

Mazu also agreed to let him leave.

 

2.3.4 太乙真人 Strictly Second Real Human

武二郎（如圖2.3.4-3）對張屠戶（如圖5，6，7）承諾的給太乙真人（如圖1）送合格的豬肉的事不放心。他離開乾塘關時，囑咐兩個衛兵，幾天後去山東省清河縣核實一下。

當這兩個衛兵到達太乙真人的家時，發現他正在自己家的大門前宴請賓客，過路人也可以參加。他們倆想聽消息，就坐進了宴席。這時，一個白胡子老頭兒（即太乙真人，如圖1）正在對身邊的客人說：“兩天前，我徒弟，乾塘關禮敬公的三太子，哪吒，來給我送禮來了。還特別告訴我，‘這次給我送來的是合格的金華火腿，和沒參水的西鳳酒！’請幾位品嚐一下，嚐嚐真正的金華火腿和西鳳酒是什麽味？”

Martial Second Wolf (see fig. 2.3.4-3) was not confident about Butcher Zhang's (as shown in figs. 5, 6, 7) promise to deliver qualified pork to Taiyi (i.e., strictly second) Real Human (as shown in fig. 1). When he left Qiantang Pass, he asked two guards to go to Clear Water County, Shandong Province to verify the matter a few days later.

When the two guards arrived at Taiyi's house, they found that he was entertaining guests in front of his gate, and passers-by were also welcome to attend. The two wanted to hear the news, so they sat down at the banquet. At this time, an old man with a white beard (Taiyi, as shown in Figure 1) was saying to the guests around him: "Two days ago, my disciple, Nezha, the third prince of Publican Etiquette Salutation of Qian’tang Pass, came to give me gifts. He also told me in particular, 'This time, he sent me qualified Jinhua ham and Xifeng Alcohol without mixing water!' Please taste it and try what the real Jinhua ham and Xifeng Alcohol taste like?"

太乙真人看見了剛進來的武二郎的兩個衛兵，就吩咐傭人說，“給他們倆送去合格的金華火腿，和沒參水西鳳酒，讓他們倆品嚐一下。”

這倆衛兵趕忙拒絕說：“我們隻是過路人，可不敢占便宜，奢望消耗那種珍饈美味。簡單地吃點兒家常飯，我們就感激不盡了！”

太乙的傭人回答說：“前天他的徒弟張屠戶來給他送合格的火腿和沒參水的西鳳酒，他就把新送來的火腿和西鳳酒放進了倉庫，以前的全搬出來了。這火腿很好，這酒就是普通的二鍋頭。那參了水的西鳳酒昨天就喝沒了。這不，那些空酒瓶子還在那兒擺著呢！”

When Taiyi saw the two guards of Martial Second Wolf who had just come in, he told the servants, "Send them some qualified Jinhua ham and Xifeng Alcohol without mixing water and let them taste it."

The two guards quickly refused and said, "We are just passers-by. We dare not take advantage of you and hope to consume such delicacies. We will be grateful if we can just have a simple home-cooked meal!"

Taiyi's servant replied, "The day before yesterday, his disciple Zhang the Butcher came to deliver qualified ham and Xifeng wine without water. He put the newly delivered ham and Xifeng Alcohol into the warehouse and moved out the old ones. This ham is very good, and this Alcohol is just ordinary Alcohol. The Xifeng Alcohol with water was drunk up yesterday. Look, those empty liquor bottles are still there!"

倆衛兵看見太乙的門前擺著幾百個西鳳酒和杜康酒的酒瓶子，好奇地問：“這兩天你們家的主人用價值幾萬兩白銀的酒來招待客人！？”

太乙的傭人回答：“沒那麽多！我也不知道他是從哪裏弄來了那麽多空的名酒的瓶子！”

The two guards saw hundreds of Xifeng and Dukang Alcohol bottles in front of Taiyi's door, and asked curiously, "Did your master entertain guests with Alcohol worth tens of thousands of taels of silver these two days!?"

Taiyi's servant replied: "Not that many! I don't know where he got so many empty bottles of famous alcohol from!"

這時，人們看見傭人和這倆衛兵在交頭接耳地低聲說話，宴會變得肅靜了，都想聽聽他們在說些什麽！太乙不高興了，大聲對身邊的人說：“我徒弟哪吒臨走時，過來給我跪下了，抱著我的腿哭，說，‘師父你別再去我二哥武二郎那裏告我了。我二哥力氣大；他生氣了，一巴掌能把我打死！’我聽了之後就糊塗了，‘這三頭六臂（如圖5，義為上帝三人組，參見10.9節）的哪吒怎麽被嚇成這樣了！？’ 他走了之後，我想了一夜。我終於想明白了， ‘他是在20年前，被武二郎打死的那隻吊睛白虎（參見1.4節）嚇著了！’那隻老虎可真嚇人，不幸的是它遇見二郎神了，命裏該絕！”

這時，又來新客人了，太乙指示傭人給武二郎的兩個衛兵上菜，自己去招待新來的客人了。

At this time, people saw the servant and the two guards whispering to each other, and the banquet became quiet. Everyone wanted to hear what they were talking about! Taiyi was unhappy and said loudly to the people around him: "When my disciple Nezha was leaving, he came to me and knelt, hugged my legs and cried, saying, 'Teacher-father, don't go to my second brother Martial Second Wolf to complain about me again. My second brother is very strong; when he gets angry, he can slap me to death!' After hearing this, I was confused, 'How could this three-headed and six-armed Nezha (Figure 5, meaning Trinity, see Section 10.9) be scared like this!' After he left, I thought about it all night. I finally figured it out, 'He was scared by the white tiger with hanging eyes that was killed by Martial Second Wolf 20 years ago (see section 1.4)!' That tiger was scary, but unfortunately it met Second Wolf God, and it was destined to die!" At this time, new guests came again. Taiyi instructed the servants to serve food to Martial Second Wolf's two guards and went to entertain the new guests himself.

一個武二郎的衛兵問傭人：“這金華火腿的味道很好，怎麽說是質量不合格呢？”

傭人回答：“是好火腿！我家的主人舍不得吃；總是等到過期了，他才拿出來吃。味道不好，他就說他的徒弟給他不合格的豬肉。在山東沒人買金華火腿，都是因為他總說金華火腿的質量不合格！”

另一個士兵問：“我聽你們家主人總說那幾句話，‘他的三頭六臂的徒弟，哪吒，給他送合格的豬肉和不參水的西鳳酒了’！？”

傭人回答：“這兩天，他見著誰都說那幾句話。沒人的時候，他自己叨咕那幾句話！”

One of Martial Second Wolf's guards asked the servant, “This Jinhua ham tastes great, so how can you say it's of substandard quality?”

The servant replied, “It is good ham! My master can't afford to eat it; he always waits until it expires before he takes it out to eat. When it tasted bad, he said his disciple had given him substandard pork. No one buys Jinhua ham in Shandong, all because he always says it's of substandard quality!”

Another soldier asked, “I heard your master always say those words, ‘His three-headed, six-armed disciple, Nezha, has sent him qualified pork and non-watered Xifeng alcohol!’?”

The servant replied, “In the past two days, he said those words to everyone he met. When no one is around, he mutters those words to himself!”

另一個武二郎的衛兵問：“武二郎打虎！我怎麽沒聽說過呢！？”

傭人回答：“那是20年前的事。就因為武二郎打虎，這地方的名字現在被改成 ‘打虎岡’了！”

這時，太乙來到了他們的身邊，看見武二郎的衛兵不相信 ‘武二郎打虎’，拉著他說，“你跟我來，我讓你看一樣東西。”

Another of Martial Second Wolf's guards asked, “Martial Second Wolf fights tigers! Why haven't I heard of it!?”

The servant replied, “That was 20 years ago. Just because Martial Second Wolf fought the tiger, the name of this place is now changed to 'Beating Tiger Gang'!”

At that moment, Taiyi came to them, and seeing that Martial Second Wolf's guards didn't believe in Martial Second Wolf Fighting the Tiger,' he pulled him and said, “Come with me, and I'll show you something.”

2.3.4-3 二郎神的聖物 Holy Object of Second Wolf God

太乙真人指著掛在客廳牆上的虎皮說：“這就是那隻被武二郎打死的那隻虎的皮！”

兩個衛兵小聲商量了一下，表示要買這張虎皮。

太乙聽了，表示不感興趣，說：“我從來沒打算賣。你們買它幹什麽？”

一個武二郎的衛兵說：“這事沒打算對您說，我們是從湖北來的，來核實張將軍對您的承諾，‘張屠戶要用最好的豬肉來招待您。’這事已經沒問題了。”

Taiyi pointed to the tiger skin hanging on the wall of the living room and said, “This is the skin of that tiger that was killed by Martial Second Wolf!”

The two guards whispered and expressed their intention to buy this tiger skin.

Hearing this, Taiyi expressed his disinterest and said, “I never intended to sell it. What are you guys buying it for?”

One of Martial Second Wolf's guards said, “This was not intended to be said to you; we have come from Hubei to verify General Zhang's promise to you, ‘Butcher Zhang will serve you with the finest pork.’ This is no longer a problem.”

太乙回答：“哎呀！武二郎這孩子辦事可真認真！我剛從湖北回來！”

一個衛兵問：“您去湖北幹什麽？”

太乙回答：“我是女媧劇組的成員，去湖北給一位好色的女國王（即熬忖，如圖4）做童子雞去了！”

一個衛兵聽明白了，說：“啊！你還是廚師！你就順便救了武二郎將軍！”

太乙回答：“可不是那麽回事！但這是女媧娘娘的秘密，現在還不能說！咱麽還是先到廚房，吃點真正合格的金華火腿，喝點兒西鳳酒！你們要喝杜康酒，我也有！你們要這張虎皮幹什麽？”

Taiyi replied, “Oops! This boy Martial Second Wolf is serious about his words! I've just returned from Hubei!”

A guard asked, “What were you doing in Hubei?”

Taiyi replied, “I'm a member of Nuwa's crew, and we went to Hubei to make ‘virgin boy chicken’ for a lustful female king (i.e., Aocun, as shown in fig. 4)!”

One of the guards understood and said, “Ah! You're a cook also! And you saved General Martial Second Wolf by the way!”

Taiyi replied, 'It's not that! But it's Nuwa's secret, so we can't talk about it yet! Let's go to the kitchen first, eat some real qualified Jinhua ham and drink some Xifeng Alcohol! If you want to drink Dukang Alcohol, I have it too! What do you need this tiger skin for?”

衛兵說：“是這麽回事！我們湖北軍區也有典軍，但總是建設不好。他們說需要一件武二郎將軍的聖物擺在典軍軍部的大堂上，就請求我們，武二郎的衛兵，尋找武二郎的聖物。幾年了，我們什麽也沒找到。我們倆從湖北出來時，典軍把我們在戰場上繳獲的一箱茅台酒要過去了，說是要把那酒作為聖物擺在典軍的大堂裏。我們倆覺著你的這張虎皮比那箱茅台酒更有意義！”

太乙真人聽後，不說話了！

The guard said, “That's how it is! We also have a codex army in the Hubei Military Region, but it is always poorly constructed. They said they needed a holy relic of General Martial Second Wolf to be placed in the lobby of the codex military headquarters, they requested us, Martial Second Wolf's guards, to look for his holy relic. It's been a couple of years, and we haven't found anything. When the two of us came out of Hubei, the codex army asked for a case of Maotai Alcohol that we had captured on the battlefield, saying that they wanted to place that alcohol as a holy relic in the lobby of the codex army. Taiyi Zhenzhen stopped talking after hearing this!

一個衛兵問：“怎麽了？這張虎皮不是您的？”

太乙回答：“這隻老虎本來是二十幾年前元始天尊來井陽岡打獵時抓住的一隻白虎崽。就被王後和石磯娘娘（潘金蓮，如圖2）收養為寵物了。被武二郎打死之後，石磯娘娘讓我找個風水好的地方給埋了。我就找四個人把它抬到我家來了。我給了他們四個農民工每人十文錢的勞務費和十文錢的保密費。我就把這隻老虎吃了。那虎骨酒到現在我還沒喝完呢！”

A guard asked: "What's wrong? This tiger skin is not yours?"

Taiyi replied: "This tiger was originally a white tiger cub that Original Sky Honor (King of Hua at the speaking time) caught when he came to Well-Sun Gang to hunt more than 20 years ago. It was adopted as a pet by the Queen of Hua and Queen Stone Jetty (aka. Goldthread Pan, as shown in Figure 2). After being beaten to death by Martial Second Wolf, Queen Stone Jetty asked me to find a good Feng Shui place to bury it. So, I found four people carrying it to my house. I gave each of the four farmers ten cents for labor and ten cents for confidentiality. I ate the tiger. I haven't finished the tiger bone alcohol yet!"

一個衛兵笑道：“難怪武二郎從來沒對我們說他打虎的事！這事都過去20多年了。我認為這張虎皮屬於你！”

太乙回答：“是嗎！那我就用這張虎皮去換你們典軍的那箱茅台酒。我還沒喝過茅台酒呢！幾年前，我在連雲港的船上花三百兩銀子買了一瓶茅台酒，但到現在我都沒敢嚐嚐！”

另一個衛兵問：“你花了那麽多的錢買的酒，怎麽不敢喝呢？”

A guard laughed and said, "No wonder Martial Second Wolf never told us about his tiger-killing experience! It happened more than 20 years ago. I think this tiger skin belongs to you!"

Taiyi replied, "Really? Then I will use this tiger skin to exchange for your Codex Army's box of Maotai. I haven't tasted Maotai yet! A few years ago, I spent 300 taels of silver on a ship in Connection to Cloud Port, but I haven't dared to taste it until now!"

Another guard asked, "You spent so much money on alcohol, why don't you dare to drink it?"

太乙回答：“我害怕巫毒女妖（即熬忖，圖4）在那酒裏尿尿了；熬忖不喜歡我！”

衛兵回答：“熬忖也不喜歡我們，但我們不擔心她對我們下毒，因為她不知道我們是誰！您在女媧的劇組做什麽工作，什麽級別！”

太乙回答：“女媧的那個劇組很小。她是老板，我和其它的人都排行第二。”

Taiyi replied, "I'm afraid that Voodoo Demoness (Aocun, Figure 4) had peed in it; Aocun doesn't like me!"

The guard replied: "Aocun doesn't like us either, but we are not worried that she will poison us because she doesn't know who we are! What job do you do in Nuwa's crew and what is your rank!"

Taiyi replied: "Nuwa's crew is very small. She is the boss, and I and the others are second."

2.3.4-4

太乙就要跟隨武二郎的這兩位衛兵去湖北。衛兵回答：“我們當然歡迎您去幫我們建設典軍。把您請去了，我們倆立功了。但是我們有個條件，這事得有你的孩子的同意書。”

太乙問：“我去湖北，為什麽還得我兒子同意？”

衛兵回答：“我們不會害你；但你歲數大了，去湖北，山高路遠。如果您過世了呢！ 我們得確保您的孩子不會追究我們的責任。”

Taiyi was about to follow Martial Second Wolf's two guards to Hubei.

The guards replied: "Of course we welcome you to help us build the codex army. We have done a great service by inviting you. But we have a condition. We need your children's consent."

Taiyi asked: "Why do I need my son's consent to go to Hubei?"

The guards replied: "We will not harm you; but you are old, and it is a long way to go to Hubei. What if you die? We have to make sure your children will not hold us responsible."

太乙回答：“我是他們的祖宗，我的事，他們管不著！”

衛兵回答：“現在的世道變了。孩子是祖宗，父母是奴隸！”

太乙的兒子知道後，說：“我爹在家就總有人來送禮；但我們尊重他的願望。他做事，他自己高興就好！”

就這樣，太乙真人跟隨著武二郎的兩個護衛去湖北軍區說書去了。

Taiyi replied: "I am their ancestor; they have no right to interfere with my affairs!"

The guard replied: "The world has changed now. Children are ancestors, parents are slaves!"

When Taiyi's son found out, he said: "When my father is at home, people always come to give gifts; but we respect his wishes. He does things if he is happy!"

In this way, Taiyi True Human followed Martial Second Wolf's two guards to the Hubei Military Region to tell stories.
