I read two articles about Schools Sports and Health on “Bucks County Herald” November 28, 2024. Barbara gave me the newspaper.
1) (A) CB East seniors ink letters of intent
Ellison Lundquist has been playing golf since she was 4 years old. At the age of 6, the Central Bucks East senior began competing in tournaments. She’s playing-and excelling-ever since.
Two weeks ago, Lundquist signed a letter of intent to accept a full scholarship to continue her golf career at the University of Oklahoma.
“I was like, ‘OK, it seems as though that’s going to be a good choice.’ So, I visited before I could talk to the coaches, and I love it there-their facilities, program, coaches and teams and just the overall school spirit. The way they treat their athletes is like nothing I saw at any other school.”
Lundquist was one of 13 East seniors recognized Wednesday, Nov.13, for committing to complete in collegiate sports.
(B) I think:  I have never played golf. I like table tennis. Exercise intensity for golf is less than that for table tennis.
Universities offer scholarships to middle school students because the student has a certain sports specialty and agrees to continue participating in this sport after entering the university to bring honor to the university. This is no such things in China.

2) (A) Prom at The Fuge celebrates some out-of- this-world NICU grads.
Sunday, Nov.10 was, a very good day at The Fuge  in Warminster, where families whose children spent the first weeks and months of their lives in area neonatal intensive care units gathered to celebrate their “NICU grads” and the nonprofit organization that supported them on their journeys.
Founded 10 years ago by a Montgomery County couple, “Today is a good day” provides NICU family support through care packages, resources, emotional support, “Navigate the NICU” workshops and other assistance.
Sunday’s “NICU Family Prom” at the home of the Johnsville Centrifuge was appropriately themed “Mission: Home.”
(B) I think :  The NICU (neonatal intensive care unit ) is important for saving some premature infants and infants with diseases. These American children who grew up after graduating from the NICU are happy.    This NICU  is privately funded.  In China in the past, obstetric hospitals did not have NICU.
