It is generally legal to install security cameras in public places in Nevada, as it is in all 50 states: 

 

• Video recording

  It is legal to record video in public places, including with doorbell cameras, security cameras, and phone cameras. 

   
• Audio recording

  Audio recording requires at least one person's consent, but some states require all parties to consent. Nevada is one of those states that requires all parties to consent to audio recording. 

   
• Expectation of privacy

  It is illegal to film or photograph someone without their consent in a private place where they have a reasonable expectation of privacy. This includes areas like bathrooms, bedrooms, changing rooms, and locker rooms.
