Water
Dec, 2015
God gave me a blank scroll and some colored pencils when we first met.
Half already scribbled, how do I paint the other half?
Some once asked me, "Do you like round plate or square plate?"
I say, how about water?
The clear colorless smelless water that is flowing around quietly and slowly, effortlessly.
It nurtures the land, it nurtures the people.
It cleans self for mild contamination.
It may take various forms,
but never, change its property.
Some may say, "Water? There is no spine in it!"
you see water in a pond,
you see water in a lake,
you see water in the ocean, on a calm sunny day.
Do you see the thousand-foot waterfall pounding down calving the pool underneath?
Do you see the roaring river flooding down pushing the rocks and earth?
Do you see the furious ocean crying its rage smashing the coast line?
And yet, after the storm,
the river flows again quietly and slowly,
nurturing the land along the way.
The ocean returns to its harmony and peacefulness,
cradling the beach gently, dancing its splashes cheerfully,
for the little children to play with.
Ever see a crashing mountain rebuilt itself?
The river flows quietly and slowly.
Where is she going?
How does she want to paint her land of scroll?
The river, has the answer for her own.
