2023新年伊始滑雪

落基山的滑雪季已經開始有一段時間了，每年的降雪量都會有不同，天氣也是很難預測。 

 

難以預料的何止是天氣，據說這個才剛剛過去的周末，有90%的西南航空公司的航班被取消，其它航空公司也都有不同程度的影響。這種混亂的事情打亂了許多人節日的生活。遇到這樣的事情，隻能隨遇而安順其自然了。

 

今天是12月28號星期三，銅山的滑雪場在早上10點半左右的時候，它的兩個大型的停車場就滿員了。天氣預報下午會有小雪，如果僅僅是小雪，氣溫不是很低，沒有太大的風，還是可以滑的。

 

今天來滑雪的人很多，但去後山的路被封了，所有的人都集中在了前山，滑起來感覺有點人太多了。 雪道上常常會看到藍色透明的標誌，是非常危險的堅硬冰塊區，需要繞過它們。下午在風雪中，沒有來得及避開，曾經重重的摔過一次。 滑雪戴頭盔則是非常重要的保護。

 

早上無雪無風的時候，滑起來感覺非常不錯，隻是今天的雪道沒有太多的選擇，有點遺憾。後山一定是積雪不足，也許要等到二月，或者一月中旬了。

 

下午3點左右，雪越來越大，能見度越來越差，隻好早早就收拾返回小鎮上。

 

離開雪場的路上，雪花越來越密集，路麵上是融化的積水，在夜晚的時候，將會是危險的冰麵。車與車之間都保持了相當的距離。

 

 

雪夜裏的Frisco小鎮，聖誕節的燈火闌珊依舊。 這裏的冬天，是它一年中最忙碌的。

Unpredictability is not only limited to the weather. It is said that this past weekend, 90% of Southwest Airlines flights were cancelled, and other airlines were also affected to varying degrees. This chaotic affair disrupted the life of many people during the festival. When encountering such a thing, we can only go with the situation and let nature take its course.

 

Today is Wednesday, December 28, and Copper Mountain's two large parking lots are full at around 10:30 in the morning. The weather forecast is that there will be light snow in the afternoon. If it is only light snow, the temperature is not very low, and there is not too much wind, it is still possible to ski.

 

There are many people who come to ski today, but the road to the back mountain is blocked, and all the people are skiing in the front mountain. It feels a bit too crowded. Blue transparent signs are often seen on the snow trails, which are very dangerous hard ice areas and need to be bypassed. In the snowy  afternoon, I didn't have time to avoid it, and I fell heavily once. Wearing a helmet for skiing is very important protection.

 

When there is no snow and no wind in the morning, it feels very good to ski, but it is a pity that there are not many choices for today's ski trails. There must be insufficient snow in the back mountain, maybe it will have to wait until February or mid-January.

 

At around 3 pm, the snow was getting heavier and the visibility was getting worse, so we had to pack up and return to the town early.

 

On the way out of the snow field, the snowflakes are getting denser and thicker, and the road surface is covered with melted water. At night, it will be a dangerous ice surface. There is a considerable distance between the cars.

 

In the small town of Frisco on a snowy night, the Christmas lights are still dim. Winter here is the busiest of the year.
