特殊的澳紐軍團日 25th April 2020

今年的 25th April 2020 時一個非同往年的澳紐軍團日，我們將永遠記住，清晨6點幾乎每一個小區，每一條街道，都有人們點亮蠟燭站在門口，緬懷為國捐軀的生命，因為今年的今日大家不能聚集一起，隻好以這特殊的方紀念他們。

Lest we forget, we will remember them
這是我們生活的地方，這是我們後代生長的土地，讓我們一起愛護她。

昨天我們在信箱裏收到了信息

 

 

今早六點我們準時站到門口，街道盡頭想起了號聲， 許多家門口擺上紅色罌粟花

The Red Poppy Flower

 

 

 

在全世界的其它很多國家，人們在“停戰日”，也就是ArmisticeDay（11月11日）佩戴這

朵小紅花，在澳大利亞和新西蘭，人們在4月25日這一天將它別在上衣的衣領或是胸口

上，表示對軍人這個神聖的職業崇高的敬意。

為什麽紅色罌粟花來代表，在1915年第一次世界大戰期間，加拿大的一名軍醫約翰·麥克瑞

(John McCrae)中校奉命前往法國弗蘭德斯接收加拿大陣亡將士。他親眼目睹了戰場的慘狀，

目睹了紅透半邊天的罌粟花。他抑製不住悲傷和激動，在一張碎紙片上寫下了13行詩句。

這首詩道出了千千萬萬戰士的心聲，很快便以民歌的形式在前線和後方廣為流傳。

In Flanders fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses, row on row,
