英國小公司關於新冠病毒的防護4個通知

新冠病毒已使英國處於戰時狀態,看看小公司怎麽做。謹以此文記錄這特殊的時刻。

在此過程中一定還有更多的通知,就不再加進我的博文了。除了學校停課,英超停賽外,所有的酒吧,歺館等今天必須停止營業,影院,俱樂部等也必須關閉。好消息是政府付這些停工行業員工80%的工資,目前有效期是3個月,如果有必要的話會延長付款時間。https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-51982005

有些機場的主要航站樓關閉因為沒多少人出行。還有其他好多非強製措施,人類曆史少見,經濟損失肯定超911了,預計這種情況至少持續半年?不敢想象後麵會發生什麽?

 

Notice 1 02/03/2020  Corona Virus : *** Working Practice

 

Hi All,

 

You will all be aware of the current exceptional situation.

 

Given the nature of our business and the wide variety of personal circumstances that differing people in the business will have, we think it is important that we are clear on our expectations for how *** can meet this particular new challenge.

 

As everyone will be in a different personal situation, we acknowledge that each person’s assessment of the risk to their health and inconvenience will be different. As well as considering your own health, age and existing medical status, you also need to consider those of other family members who may, in some cases, be in a ‘more at risk’ group than yourself.

 

We therefore believe everyone should decide on a personal level whether to travel or not travel on business, be that for an individual trip and/or in general.

 

If you decide not to travel, then, in order to enable us to continue to meet our work commitments, please can you ensure adequate alternative arrangements are made that will still enable us to meet our client needs / expectations. All our clients will be facing the need to address this same issue so some changes in working practices during the coming months are likely to become commonplace. If we therefore explain our need for making any changes as being due to the need to accommodate the differing personal circumstances each person is facing – i.e. we are adopting a sensible and pragmatic approach based on differing personal needs - then this should be seen as a reasonable and measured response.

 

Furthermore, when you do decide to travel, if you have the option to use your own private vehicle for the trip rather than public transport then that may be something you may wish to consider. You should, of course, also follow the advice given by the health authorities for how to minimise your risk.

Further to my note last week, please see the latest news from the BBC at this link below.

This is suggesting that the government may, at some point this week, ask people to work from home and take other ‘social distancing’ measures. If so, we would then ask that you look to minimise your business travel and specifically ask clients whether any meetings you need to have would be acceptable to be conducted online.

 

As you know, we do have adequate facilities in place for conducting online meetings and, although they are not a complete substitute for all face-to-face meetings, they should at least be suitable for discussing and/or debriefing existing projects.

 

The area of our work that could be most impacted is new business development, where a face-to-face meeting is usually required before new clients will consider commissioning a new supplier.

 

Our expectation is that this necessity may change if the need for ‘social distancing’ persists for some time but at this point it is possible that some of our new business / new client meetings may still need face-to-face contact.

 

Please therefore continue to use personal discretion in deciding whether a face-to-face meeting is necessary and take into account your personal circumstances in deciding whether you are able to attend.  In addition, please consider the arrangements for any colleagues who cannot travel, so they can join meetings by web/phone if required.

 

Hopefully, this situation will not last for more than 1 - 2 months but obviously we during that time we will need to continue to review and adapt our ways of working on a regular basis as may be required.

Important information – Coronavirus (COVID?19)
As a valued passenger at Heathrow, I'm writing to reassure you of our commitment to your safety and that of our colleagues in light of the current global Coronavirus (COVID?19) outbreak.

The safety and wellbeing of our passengers and colleagues is always our number one priority which is why, since January, we’ve implemented a number of measures at the airport to keep you safe through this difficult time.

These measures include:
  • The provision of over 200 hand sanitiser dispenser locations across the airport
  • An increase to our, already thorough, cleaning procedures
  • Leaflets with advice handed to all passengers and Government information posters in place around the airport
  • Enhanced monitoring of all flights including early liaison with flight crews on suspected cases and the presence of Public Health England doctors and professionals
  • The creation of a dedicated, isolated, terminal pier area to be used by Public Health England medical professionals while liaising with suspected cases
  • Our Airport Fire Service have been provided with additional Personal Protection Equipment and training in case they are required to act as first responders to suspected cases.
All of our measures are in line with the official advice from Public Health England, who we continue to work closely with.

While many of the measures may not be highly visible to passengers, rest assured they are in place and follow medical, clinically driven, advice.

The best advice for you as passengers remains to maintain good hand hygiene, washing your hands regularly for 20 seconds with soap, and warm water if possible. If you’re feeling unwell, please follow Government advice and contact NHS 111 if needed.

The UK Government is now advising against all but essential travel to many countries, cities and regions. You can find out more information on this and other queries you may have around your journey via our dedicated information page on Coronavirus.

For Heathrow Express passengers, you can change your travel date free of charge.

Notice 4 20/03/2020

Dear All,

 

Given the significance of the latest Government announcements by the Prime Minister on Coronavirus (COVID-19), from the perspective of a service provider we understand the impact this situation may potentially have on all of our businesses.

 

During this uncertain time, the current advice to allow staff to work from home (where possible) in order to reduce the possible spread of the Covid-19 virus has seen our clients on site varying their working hours to avoid peak travel times and limit the number of people in the office at any one time.  Despite this uncertainty, we are preparing for every scenario and must remain positive. Our team will continue to provide telephone services as normal, however we wanted to share with you the actions we are taking now.

 

We will endeavour to physically man our 2nd floor reception at *** Piccadilly and will be operating on site on a skeletal staff basis, between the hours of 9am and 3pm. However you will always be able to speak to someone when you need to as we have the right technology in place to make remote-working possible for all of our office-based team.

 

In regards to post, ** will still be managing the post on a daily basis between the hours of 9am – 2pm. Should you require any special post to be sent out, your request must be sent before 2pm each day.

 

We have seen a very heavy decline in meeting room use over the past week or so, however should you need to use a meeting room, please try and schedule meetings between the current manned hours of 9am and 3pm.

 

Whilst we undergo these changes, based on the advice of Public Health England, following ongoing guidance we have increased hygiene measures in our offices and we are supplying hand-sanitisers at reception and encouraging everyone to wash their hands, frequently.  We do ask however if you have been on site recently, that you keep us informed of any confirmed cases, so that we may take the appropriate actions. Our key advice remains to be to follow the Government guidance.

 

As this situation is changing daily, we will review the situation frequently and welcome any feed back from you.
