這首歌曲是《美國偶像》（American Idol）第十季選手Chris Medina的單曲專輯。雖然止步24強，但是這首曲子卻在網絡上廣為流傳。

Chris Medina曾經是星巴克的吧員。2007年12月12日，他向和他相戀8年的女孩Juliana提出訂婚。雖然隻是訂婚，但Chris Medina後來在《美國偶像》的比賽采訪中說過：“We kind of make it a promise to get married.【我們把它（訂婚）作為結婚的一個承諾。】”

2009年10月2日，訂婚後兩年，那個美麗的女孩因為車禍事故，腦部受到重創，康複後智力隻有2歲，生活完全不能夠自理。但Chris不離不棄。 後來Chris參加了美國偶像，為的就是賺到更多的錢讓未婚妻受到更好的治療過上更好的生活。雖然最後還是止步於全國24強，但<What are words> 這首充滿愛的歌已經牢牢地印在人們的心裏。- 百度
