《客家女：楊絳先生百年感言-英譯初稿》

《The wisdom of a 100+ year old lady,  Master Yang Jiang》

We tried,

We sought for  the glories and the fires  of lives.

At the end,  

We come to love the serenity of  our minds,

And the peace and calm in our hearts .

We   struggled,

We strove for the  acceptance and the recognition of the world.

At the end,

We found  the truth and happiness in our  own thought.

 And this indeed matters most of all.

Note:  Master Yang Jiang , a gracious and talented lady,  sadly passed away yesterday morning at a grand age of 105.  She wrote the poem at her 100 old birthday.  I translated the people in memory of this most respected lady in Chinese history.

注：驚聞楊絳先生今晨仙世，享年105有加。現特翻譯楊老“百歲感言”以紀念她老人家。
