【子萱采訪】 原創英文詩三首 by Jerry Mond Oh roll me over

這次的製作有點兒倉促，正好趕上英文詩作者有一點兒時間，結果我的電腦不給力，重新啟動了，所以，采訪到一半就匆匆結束了。但是他答應一個月以後再製作一期，到時候讀他的新作，期待中。。。

Oh roll me over
And drag me through the river bed,
No matter if I be alive or I be dead,
Just want to rest my weary head.

 

Ain't got no time no more
To tarry and pretend,
To sing off key
Or dance out of step.

 

The road is straight and narrow.

 

So I'll just drag one aching foot and then the other,
To get where I do not want to go,
Where the sun ain't yellow and the sky's not blue,
Where time does not tick or tock,
And the graves are not shallow.

 

Bury me deep beneath the rock,
And Dress me up in  a tattered 3 piece suit
With a gold plated pocket watch for my vest,

 

And bow your heads
When the buzzard smiles
And the toothless lion snores
As you lay me down to a restless rest.

Watching from the sidelines,
With squinted eyes,
And buttered popcorn in knotted hands,
gulping down
a 16 ounce cup of sugar cubes.

 

The stomach bellows,
The love handles lose their grip,
The heart sags,
The joints unhinge.

 

Days of fleeted foot,
barely remembered.

 

Legs dangle,
On a splintered bench, 
Forever waiting,
for a curious pigeon
and a long lost friend.

Junkyard trials
 And madhouse smiles,
    Fill
my days.

 

Hurricane eyes,
  And bed time lies
 Sleep
   Beneath my sheets.

 

Storm troopers
     And cattle cars,
          Rumble
thru my dreams.

 

Barbed wire shadows,
    And pearl handled daggers,
Dangle
At my side.  

 

And Blind streetwalkers
Lead me
Thru charcoal alleys
And littered streets
With a
Crooked grin.
