Kaley Cuoco wears the SAME plunging dress that Jessica Gomes wore at the ARIA Awards... but who wore it better?

She's the A-list television actress with her own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

So Kaley Cuoco is used to receiving only the best, whether it's the best designer fashion or million dollar pay cheques from The Big Bang Theory.

But on Wednesday the 30-year-old received a rude shock when it turned out that the glamorous mini-dress she donned to the 2016 People's Choice Awards had already been worn before by another celebrity - world famous model Jessica Gomes.

The Sports Illustrated model, also 30, sported the sparkly number at Australia's ARIA awards in Sydney last November.

The stunning creation is from Aussie designer Manning Cartell, who is a favourite of stars like Louise Roe and Rachel Zoe.

Dress: chiffon bridesmaid dresses

The iridescent mini features a plunging neckline thanks to a delicate sheer panel on the decolletage and lower - which the famously busty and voluptuous Jessica filled out with ease.

On the other hand Kaley, whose bust is less ample, wore the dress differently.

It hung a little looser on the sitcom star's frame, whereas Jessica allowed the designer creation to cling to her curves and showcase her enviable waist.

The only difference between the two garments was the colours; Jessica's was a royal blue, and Kaley's was a deep purple.

Despite the fashion faux-pas, Kaley still had a good night overall.

The beauty's hit series, The Big Bang Theory, picked up Favorite Network TV Comedy Series and Favorite TV Show.

The bubbly blonde had a busy 2015, filming two feature films and providing the voice for one of the characters in Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Road Chip.

She's also one of the highest-paid actresses on TV, earning a reported $1 million per episode of The Big Bang Theory.
