There is HOPE

I have always known that I was going to be 100% successful in my fight against small cell lung cancer. I IMMEDIATELY turned to google for information. Quite honestly none of it looked good but I stayed calm. This was not for me... no doubt!

So I met with the oncologist, and of course his message isn't what I wanted to hear and so I spoke up... Doc...I don't want to hear another negative word when discussing my treatment.. when I'm in your office you leave all negativity on the other side of the door.I want us to adapt a strategy, a plan and once we have developed it we work as a team to achieve our goal. And I never once doubted that we would be successful. Five rounds of chemo and thirty radiation sessions and concluded with fifteen sessions of post cranial irradiation and again through all of this I was 100% confident in the outcome. So here. Just passed my second PET scan!

So my message is...one of hope...

To those who have just been diagnosed don't let anyone convince you that there is only one outcome. Do not let them steal your hope. It's yours, embrace it. I leave you with this thought.

What the mind can perceive and believe the body can achieve!
