I have heard 'vis-a-vis' a few times on the radio but it will take another year or two to meet it in the dictionary. I like them all very much. The last word, e.g., reminds me of a brandy called grappa which is made from grape skin.
I haven't decided to see a specialist yet. My deep-clean appointment is early next month.
