almost halfway. He started exactly three years ago and averaged 0.9 page a day.
He read the word Laputan on page 988:
Absurdly impractical or visionary, especially to the neglect of more useful
activity. [After the flying island of Laputa in Gulliver's Travels by
Jonathan Swift, where absurd projects are pursued and useful pursuits
neglected.]
It felt serendipitous and seemed to describe this project perfectly.
