death from a four-story building at the company's Menlo Park campus
which I commute by daily.

Chinese suicides at work were not accidental, by the way. The pattern has all been too clear
since I started to pay attention years ago.

The memoir of Chanel Miller, the 27-year-old rape victim four years ago
on Stanford campus, appeared on Amazon. The title was "Know My Name."
Meanwhile, the offender was convicted and sentenced.

I couldn't help wondering what if Mr. Chen was able to express himself
as well as Ms. Miller? That ability would not just stay a one-line
statement in his resume. With that, maybe he would not work for a
high-tech firm in the first place.

I studied for TOFEL and GRE at his school 22 years ago and used to
totally agree with him. Today, he champions and preaches the same 
version of success. Meanwhile, I have moved on.

I wish while chasing money, we first-gen immigrants do not stop learning about the culture after GRE and TOEFL. So that we can express ourselves better. Moreover, there are gems here that gold cannot buy. We should plunder the West for them.

I saw your post this morning, but as it is not very convenient to copy and paste links with a cell phone, I did not open the linked news. Now I see why you are comparing the Facebook guy Qin with Chanel Miller. I agree that for any reason, Qin should not commit suicide. The companies such as Facebook and Amazon do have problems in their system, such as PIP, the management issue, but I wish he could be just as courageous as Chanel Miller. Plus, 一個人如果死的心都有，為什麽不去博一博，把死老板也拉下馬啊。I know it is easier said than done. He must have suffered a lot, and lost all hopes and was in despair.
I still remember your last post when an Amazon employee died, and the picture of a guy standing on a cliff, ready to jump. It is not worth it at all.
