Restaurant:
Maitre d' - $10 or more if a special service is performed.

Cruise:
Ask your travel agent about tipping policies. Generally, gratuities are given to staff on the last full
night of the cruise. Be aware that some cruise lines are adutomatically adding tipping to your onboard
account as a guest convenience although you can adjust the amount or request that they do not
do so. Holland American Cruise line advertises a "no tipping required" policy although many guests
still will.
Cabin or Room Steward - $2.50 -3.50 per person daily.
Maitre d' - Some cruise lines suggest a rate of $1.50-$2 per person daily, while others suggest a single
gratuity of $10-20 only if a special service has been rendered.
Dining Room Waiter - $2.50-3.50 per person daily.
Assistant Waiter - $1.50-2.50 per person daily.
Busboy - $1-1.75 per person daily.

A suggested guideline for jackpot tipping is $5 for each win of $200-$500.
Maitre d' - $10 or more for arranging special restaurant or show seating.
Bartender & Cocktail Waitress - $1-2 each round of drinks.
Slot Attendant - $1 per change transaction.
Keno Runner - $1-2 per run.
Card & Dice Games - $5-25 at the end of a session. Guests can also reward good service by placing a wager
on behalf of the dealer.
Miscellaneous:
Valet - $1-2 as you enter and leave the building.
Cabbies - $1-5 depending on trip length and level of service or 15 percent of fare.
Limo Drivers - 15 percent for good service; 20 percent for excellent service.
Bus Tours/Excursions - $1 per person each for tour guide and driver. When traveling individually, $2-5 is
generally accepted for a 1-2 hour tour.

Hair stylist - 15 percent for good service; 20 percent for excellent service.
The guidelines offered are just that — guidelines. When it comes to tipping, you are the best judge.
