Description: Canton Tea, Coffee and Chocolate Pots make up a confusing world in defining the many, many variations to be found. Therefore, we have listed all of them under "Teapots". Designations that have come into common useage such as "Censor", "Dome-Top", "Lighthouse" will be used as well as physical descriptions such as "Drum Shape", "Pear Shape" and "Conical Shape". In buying any teapot make sure the top fits well.
These 3 conical shaped teapots are part of a series of very late teapots which we call the "Flag Series" as they have a group of flags on one side that does not appear on the early Canton teapots (see closeup picture of the flags). They are also distinguished by a pyramid/triangle border on the tops and a rain cloud border on the pots.
These teapots have curved spouts, angled handles and a white ball knob with a touch of blue and an air hole. The porcelain is very white without the usual firing imperfections we see on the early Canton pieces. The bottoms are glazed and the tops are inset in the pots with flanges that sit inside the bottoms to help secure the tops when pouring.
