What a sad, unfulfilling movie. Can't understand what we should take from this. What was the point of making this movie? That there are frivolous people, that there are pointless lives. We know all this. But why? 2
Reply @spinstercatlady 1 day ago Maybe the actions that might initially seem fairly harmless (her tryst with Beaver) can actually have far-reaching repercussions? Waugh, the author of the book, was a serious Catholic, so it definitely has a lot to do with morality, I'm thinking.
