I, too, loved this book as a kid. British actress,Jean Simmonshttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uBwBR0Js1X0?
[London-born Jean Simmons came into the world in January 1929 and began acting at the age of 14. She became a British star two years later with her portrayal of the unflattering Estella in the years version of Great Expectations. 1946 by director David Lean. Simmons is underrated, too often overlooked, and deserves more recognition and trophies than shes ever received in her lifetime. In terms of the number of quality films shes made, her place should be higher in the Hollywood charts.
Jean Simmons was a true English rose. She is buried in Highgate Cemetery in London, which is fitting, because Jean was a Londoner born and bred. I never thought that she looked like Audrey Hepburn. I think that she was a cross between Vivien Leigh and Elizabeth Taylor. I recently watched the film Black Narcissus, in which Jean plays the part of a beautiful Indian girl. She was 18 when she appeared in this film and as soon as she is on the screen, you simply can not drag your eyes away from her. Her beauty is almost ethereal. It is said that the reason she never made it really big in Hollywood is because she refused the sexual advances of Howard Hughes.]
was never more beautiful! ?????? Loved Michael Rennie
as wellwished a lean, handsome spaceman or French general would find me and sweep me off my feet. ????As for Brando, this is a very interesting performance, perhaps my favorite in his younger days. He could display charm as an older man (The Godfather, Don Juan DeMarco, The Freshman), but seldom in his earlier career. His intensity here seems appropriate and is far superior to the extremely boring R. Scott [Randolph Scott

Napoleon was fantastic; he spat on all this bloody mess of revolution and crowned himself.
The generals crowned themselves the kings and queens of Europe.
Not a king, the hell with itan Emperor.

In fact, Bernadot is a turned-coat! Since the beginning, he did not like Napoleon; that is why when he found the chance, he stabbed Napoleon in the back!
