Id have preferred russian dialogue with English subtitles. All told, this is a great movie The guy portraying zhukov is pitch perfect. The music tracks repeat dozens of times a theme a couple measures in length. the opera tannheuser

Not your typical Socialist Republic hero, who is much more in line with the tenets of deep Russian spiritualism. I'm surprised the authorities allowed this film to be made, though it stokes a strong fear of the West. Fear does make compliance easier. Very creative. Almost a work of art.

Tarantino directly mocks history in the film, without any profound meaning, making it effortless to watch.
He showcases his black humor and violent aesthetics to the fullest, and even with a multi-thread narrative, it feels effortless. The ending is also wildly imaginative, with the Führer meeting a gruesome fate.
