這個周五發回來兩篇課堂作業,我覺得這個老師還教得挺有辦法的。
One night, Joey took a shortcut through the old cemetery. It was daik and the wind was howling. In the wind, he heard a voice calling "Joey, Jooooeeeey." Write what happened next.
* Add at least 7 sentences to the story. Be creative.*
There were bones scattered apon the floor, and immediately he knew something was wrong. The bones weren't supposed to be there! He warily but surely approached the source of the sound. He started to see limbs, limbs that made him tremble. He never saw the graveyard like this. He approached the place where his grandfather was buried. The he saw something, it looked like a ghost, but it wasn't, it was his friend. His friend was calling him because he found a large, blue, and shiny crystal, and what about the bones and limbs? Well, maybe some things just have to be left unanswered for now. To be continued.
這篇得A, 評語是“Very creative”。 我最喜歡最後兩句。 他的字大,寫了兩頁紙,我迫不及待翻過去看,卻原來把讀者耍了,哈哈哈。
第二篇,同一個老師教的social studies:
*A Letter About the Southwest*
Dear Johnston,
The Southwest is a region filled with many natural wonders, it is also a place of human achievement. I stuck close to the Colorado River during the trip. I got to see the Hoover Dam, and I still can't believe that they even managed to build it! The builders even gave it to the government sooner than expected! It is not enough to hear about the Grand Canyon, you have to see it with your own eyes. But I can tell you this, that this canyon is 1 mile deep and 277 miles long. Can you believe that? Then there is Monument Valley, it is near the border between Arizona and New Mexico. It is home to the Navajo, who are American Indians. It must have been very hard to adapt to the desert climate. There are mesas there, too. Mesas are flat-topped hills, they are huge! Huge, actually, wouldn't describe them, I just don't know any word stronger than huge. Everything I know about Monument Valley came from the tour, and I learned some facts about the Hoover Dam and about the Havasupais, who are also American Indians. If I had to pick a favorite place, I would pick the Hoover Dam.
Your friend,
XYZ
這篇得A-。
