relay for life: fighting cancer

I learned a surprising fact yesterday at the relay for life. It is a relay dedicated to honor people currently fighting cancer as well as to create a cure. Apparently in 2005, there was not a single organization fundraising for a cure for cancer. In just 6 short years, we can see great progress. In just the northern virginia area approximated 90 grand was earned through donation. I know that these great efforts are the hope within a cancer patient that someday they will be free.
