The 7 keys to co-operation

1.     Parent with purpose-choose it.

2.     see the needs behind every action

3.     create safety, trust, and Belonging

4.     Inspire Giving

5.     Use a Language of Respect

l   Make Clear Observation—Free of Evaluations

Pretend you are looking through the lens of a video camera. What, precisely, do you see or hear or remember?

l   Make do-able requests.

l   Listen with empathy.

6.     Learn Together As you Go

7.     Make your home a No-Fault Zone

Three vital questions for parents:

What is important to you?

What are you parenting for?

What is your intention in interacting with your kids?

A child’s presence is a gift he is giving to a parent. A parent’s uncontional acceptance and apperception for that gift completes the bonding process that is essential to an infant’s sense of safety, trust, and Belonging in the world.

-        See from your child’s point of view

-        Accept your child’s unique personality and learning style

Take 10

If you are a parent who is neglecting the basic requirements for your well-being, you can break the cycle of self-sacrifice by taking just 10 minutes a day for yourself. These few minutes are a big improvement over taking no time at all. You can use this time to reflect on what’s important to you, to remember what you are grateful for, to mediate or pray, to read something inspiring, to appreciate yourself for your efforts, to give yourself empathy for your challenges, or to celebrate how you are meeting your needs.
