When I am down  沉淪之時

and, oh my soul, so weary; 我心憔悴；

When troubles come 磨難降臨

and my heart burdened be; 孤苦難支；

Then, I am still 以至木然

and wait here in the silence,  心似枯槁，

Until you come 直至君臨

and sit awhile with me. 與我同席。

You raise me up, 蒙君提攜，

so I can stand on mountains; 餘登巔峰；

You raise me up, 因君抬舉，

to walk on stormy seas; 乘風破浪；

I am strong, 我心強健，

when I am on your shoulders; 立於君肩；

You raise me up: 蒙君提攜，

To more than I can be. 餘始自新。

There is no life - 眾生皆有

no life without its hunger; 種種渴望；

Each restless heart 不息之心

beats so imperfectly; 苦苦掙紮；

But when you come 惟當君臨

and I am filled with wonder, 餘曆輝煌，
