Why do the office temperatures have to be set to the freezing degrees all year-round to make almost everyone complain? While it is above 85 Fahrenheit outside, people inside are equipped with thick clothes. Every room I pass or visit will be the scene of workers huddling in front of computers bundled up with the clothes only to be worn outside in cold weather. Some people prefer warm while some like the feel of cool air. When the optimal setting was impossible, the thermostat reading was fixed to the low digits as if to deliberately numb people’s limbs as well as brains. Putting on more clothes is the solution to the herd of people if their brains start showing the sign of malfunction.
I have heard and read about low settings on office temperatures from coworkers, friends, TV shows, newspapers and websites. It is apparently a universal complaint. Consider the amount of energy being wasted.
