故事簡介：
        清初，喬家村有狐妖作怪，有村民手執狐狸毛離奇死亡，傳聞言之鑿鑿。出生自山東年畫世家的蒲鬆齡（馬浚偉飾）與由小玩到大的好兄弟高喆（陳錦鴻飾）都覺得事情有可疑，遂合力追查，發現有人假扮狐妖出沒喬家村，更欲殺鬆齡滅口，幸得令狐小翠（陳法拉飾）相救。其實小翠就是鬆齡出生時，被鬆齡父親蒲槃（嶽華飾）所救的一隻小狐狸。
        鬆齡把狐妖案告訴蒲槃，要求父親相助，但蒲槃反叫鬆齡別多管閒事，加深父子間的矛盾。及後，蒲槃賠償喬家村村民的損失，而鬆齡更看到蒲槃與山東布政使鄭忠邦（劉丹飾）過從甚密，認為父親........
