內容簡介：
「「追日者」又名「龍兄鼠弟」是tvb 1993年的台慶劇，卡司堅強！是金牌監製劉家豪與硬底子演員萬梓良繼1991年的「大家族」及1992年的「巨人」後，另一部精彩的時裝劇。
該劇由萬梓良、張衛健、宣萱、朱茵、陳法蓉、鄭則士等共同主演。並且是目前tvb當家花旦宣萱進入演藝圈的第一部電視劇作品，同時也是她與張衛健的訂情之作。
劇中萬梓良演出一位瘋狂的天才腦科醫生雷文鳳，雖然凡事以病人為考量，為了救人可以不惜一切，但由於性格過於激進與瘋狂，為幫人醫病挺而走險觸法，而失去醫生的資格，因此郎噹入獄，最後還為了追蹤一件陳年的舊案，想盡辦法欲置奸商於死地，隻是當年的奸商已經悔誤，更不斷為錯事做出補償，但萬梓良依然苦苦相逼，終究因為過於執著而令自己失去生命。
以往萬梓良經常演出「瘋狂」的角色，演技也常令人覺得誇張，有一種莫名的壓迫感，在劇中的角色也有相當的感受，好在張衛健演出一位土得可愛的陸阿彩，讓整部戲加入許多輕鬆的元素。
當年也因為這部戲，使得張衛健與宣萱墜入情網，這是宣萱進入演藝圈的第一部電視劇，沒想到就與張衛健有了戀情，並且談了一場三年的戀愛，劇中他飾演一位護士，是萬梓良的女朋友。
此外，朱茵演出可愛的孫皓皓，與張衛健是一對歡喜冤家，加上港姐陳法蓉飾演貪錢愛慕虛榮，一心想攀龍附鳳的林凱棉，增添了劇中幾分戲劇張力。
