簡　　介：

在古老的南京城裏，有一個男孩口銜寶玉出生，一時成為奇談。他就是榮國府的二少爺——賈寶玉。由於出生特殊，家境顯赫，寶玉受到了眾人的嬌寵，特別得到奶奶，賈母的溺愛。寶玉生性多情，對待身邊的女子溫柔有加，尤其是對姑表妹妹林黛玉更是十分愛憐。

黛玉童年就喪母，賈母心疼這個外孫女，將她接到自己身邊照料。在賈府珠圍翠繞、錦衣玉食的環境中，黛玉唯一的知己就是猶如手足的寶玉。然而，這份情緣，由於寶釵的加入而遭到了挑戰。

寶釵是寶玉的姨表姐姐，也是一個溫柔端莊的大家閨秀。比起孤苦伶仃、清高自許的黛玉，寶釵更為熟諳世故，善於周旋關係，所以，贏得了更多人的讚賞。

寶玉背棄了家族鋪設的功名富貴、榮宗耀祖道路，被家長們看成是一不肖的孽障～，隻有和他自幼相處的黛玉真正理解他，從不勸說他經營仕途。與封建家庭的矛盾不斷激化，使寶玉終於意識到黛玉才是自己心靈的港灣，愛情終於成為寶、黛兩人的心靈默契和期許。

然而，大家族為寶玉挑選的媳婦卻是薛寶釵。由王熙風操縱的調包婚禮舉行之日，也正是黛玉在愁風愁雨中生命與愛情一起消殞之時。等到寶玉從婚姻的美夢中醒來，麵對殘酷事實，他不得不選擇了離家出走這一無奈的歸宿。
