Moondog, a very well known street musician. He was Moondog by the streets of NYC, particular by the Sixth Avenue. A blind guy with a long white beard, dressed in Viking garb. ( I guess, here comes a hint for the release titled as “Viking of Sxith Avenue”) . He played everything from Jazz, classical to folk, he also composed them. At one time, he was discovered and invited onto the stage for concerts. But soon after he went back street busking again. Because people was so used to see him on the Sixth Avenue day in day out, people started to notice his absence right away when he didn’t show up there. People started asking around, where was moondog?  Very quickly he was found out in Germen. He spent the rest of his life in Germen since then, from1970+ till 1999. There are many interesting details about him.
A few days ago I bumped into his tracks and listened, also I grabbed a brief story about him. I am amazed by both his music and his life. Street musicians are always curious to me. Every time I run into street musicians, I always stop and listen to whatever they play. Actually they are really good! But it always makes me wonder …  If I … would I dare to? I guess mom would be … would throw me out to the south-pole … a typical chinese style. mom, I miss you, miss you deeply

MOONDOG, a  musician, a great street musician, a composer, a great street composer.

Although he was very well known to many people, but it is new to me. It was my first time of both knowing his name and listening to his music on that day. But I am amazed by his music
