我說：
今天出發去雷諾，算是我們的年度滑雪遊。
第一站是Stanford購物中心，聽起來有些不相幹。是的，我們先去一家店換衣服，在購物中心匆匆轉了一圈，然後開車正式上了旅程。
不知怎麽就晚了一會兒，到了鯉魚門準備養茶，卻被門口的長隊所阻。不得已去了一家日本店，孩子們還吃得挺開心的。
路上在唐娜湖小憩，覺得那兒景色宜人，想象著夏日蕩槳的悠閑，不禁在寒風中想入非非。
到了號稱最大的小城市的雷諾，我們照舊住在免費的酒店，吃飯、遊戲、打保齡球，第一天就這麽開心地度過了。
兒子說：
Today was the first day of our family of four’s skiing trip to North Star/Reno. We spent most of the day today driving. We had two stops during the trip, once to a small noodle place called Osaka Ramen for lunch, and a second brief stop to look at Donner Lake. Donner Lake had some snow around the area, but there was no ice yet. Shortly after Donner Lake, we arrived at our hotel, the Grand Sierra Resort.
The hotel was pretty busy, as expected for the first weekend where most schools have breaks. We first went to Grand Sierra Resort’s 50 lane bowling alley. At first, my family struggled with avoiding the gutter, resulting in abysmal scores in the first four rounds or so. In the 5th round of bowling, we managed to flag down the bowling alley worker to put guard rails up. Our bowling performance immediately got significantly better. My dad won with the help of his 3 strikes, followed by me, my sister, and my mom.
After bowling finished, we decided to eat dinner at the Lodge Buffet. It had everything expected of for a casino buffet, with a salad bar, carving center, pork ribs, and snow crab. It was strange because the menu outside failed to mention many dishes served that are usually more popular such as snow crab, clam chowder, and pork ribs. When we were full, we decided to digest at the arcade. My sister happily spent 5 dollars worth of arcade tokens to get 255 tickets, then managed to get a calculation error in her favor which bumped her total to 422 plus an extra hacky sack (75 ticket value).
We spent the rest of the night breaking in my sister’s prizes. She built her plastic plane, launched her Nerf bullet, blew her duck whistle, drew on her portable chalkboard, and then learned the game of dominos. According to the instructions from the box, the game of dominos is actually quite similar to Uno the card game. Our test run of the game ended up with my mom winning 5 out of 6 rounds.
Even though today was travelling day, we still ended up having lots of fun.
女兒說：
THE REAL ACCOUNT OF WHAT REALLY HAPPENED (ACT I)
8:30-10:00, AT HERMIONE’S HOUSE
(Alarm clock rings. Hermione gets up and stumbles to the dining table and takes out contacts. Then she brushes her teeth, eats two cookies, and gets into the car.)

12:00-12:45, AT A JAPANESE NOODLE HOUSE (ACT II)
(Hermione eats a bowl of shrimp tempura and udon.)
HERMIONE: How much longer?
MOM: About two or three more hours.
KENNETH: I’m driving.
(Everyone gets into car.)
END OF SCENE TWO.
4:05-5:00, IN GRAND SIERRA RESORT (ACT III)
(Everyone gets out of car.)
DAD: We’re here.
(Everyone goes into Grand Sierra resort. Dad registers and everyone goes to the 14th floor. The family goes into the room and unpacks. Hermione tests her bed-jumping ability. Everyone goes to the bowling alley.)
END OF SCENCE THREE.
8:00-9:00, IN THE ARCADE (ACT IV)
(Hermione plays the games for a while. She gets the tickets counted and gets 255+ x=465.)
PERSON 1: What do you want?
HERMIONE: I want an airplane, a duck whistle, two bean bags, dominos, and a drawing board.
(Everyone goes back to the room. Hermione, Kenneth, and Mom play dominos.)
