《舞者》是一個關於“舞蹈”的淒美愛情故事。從小在單親家庭生活又酷愛舞蹈的高純是舞蹈學校畢業的學生，一心想考取北京舞蹈學院的他遇到了同樣喜歡跳舞的金葵。兩人因舞蹈而走在一起，並將對舞蹈的喜愛融入到了雙人舞“冰火之戀”中。一次偶然的機會讓高純知道了關於他親生父親的消息，為了見到親生父親和考取北京舞蹈學院，他們來到北京一起為理想而努力、奮鬥，也因為舞蹈而相戀。後來，高純在北京打工過程中認識了善良的周欣，然而，在命運的安排下，金葵被拐賣，高純摔斷了腿，無力治療，生命危急時刻，通過周欣才找到了自己的親生父親，並在其大力幫助下繼承其父親的巨額遺產。此後親情、友情、愛情都圍繞著高純的財產展開，情節跌宕，感情變換，唯一不變的就是高純和金葵對舞蹈的熱愛……舞者對愛情和藝術的追求在最後時刻得到了升華——生命之舞永不停歌。
