康德去世

 

德國哲學家伊曼紐爾·康德在普魯士柯尼斯堡（現俄羅斯加裏寧格勒）去世。

 

German philosopher Immanuel Kant died in Königsberg, Prussia (now Kaliningrad, Russia).

 

1818

智利宣布從西班牙獨立

 

雖然直到4月在邁普戰役中才取得對西班牙人的決定性勝利，但智利在1818年這一天，智利民族獨立領袖貝納多·奧希金斯宣布智利從西班牙殖民統治中獨立，成立智利共和國。

Although the decisive victory over the Spanish did not come until April at the Battle of Maipú, Chile formally declared independence from Spain on this day in 1818, the first anniversary of Chile's victory at Chacabuco.

 

1912

中國末代皇帝溥儀在中國革命結束時退位。

 

1911年，辛亥革命於武昌爆發後，在內閣總理大臣袁世凱的逼迫之下，溥儀在宣統三年十二月廿五（1912年2月12日）由攝政皇太後隆裕太後頒布《宣統帝退位詔書》，宣告清帝正式退位，清朝統治結束，中國從帝製時代進入共和時代。1917年，溥儀在北洋軍將領張勳等人支持下，在北京複辟重登帝位。但僅僅12天之後便被迫退位（史稱張勳複辟、辮軍複辟、丁巳複辟）

馬其頓共和國更名

 

根據《普雷斯帕協議》（2018年）的條款，馬其頓共和國正式更名為北馬其頓共和國。

 

As per the terms of the Prespa Agreement (2018), the Republic of Macedonia formally changed its name to the Republic of North Macedonia.

 

2002

南斯拉夫前總統接受國際法庭審判

 

南斯拉夫總統斯洛博丹·米洛舍維奇在海牙前南斯拉夫問題國際刑事法庭因戰爭罪受審；四年後，他在審判結束前去世。

 

Slobodan Miloševi?, president of Yugoslavia in 1997–2000, went on trial for war crimes in The Hague, at the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia; he died four years later, before the trial had ended.
