The severity of the earthquake in Sichuan caught me by surprise. I thought the damage was limited since it occurred in a remote and less populated area. After reading the news that Chengdu was in most part safe, I relaxed. It turns out that I am wrong. Feel sorry that I can't do too much. Just hope this story could motivate everyone to face the difficulty and move on with greate courage.

"Fly Like an Eagle" by David S of Brooklyn, NY...

Did you know that an eagle knows when a storm is approaching long before it arrives? The eagle will fly to a high spot and wait for the winds to come. When the storm hits, it sets its wings so that the wind will pick it up and lift it above the storm. While the storm rages below, the eagle is soaring above it. The eagle does not escape the storm. It simply uses the storm to lift it higher. It rises on the winds that bring the storm.

When the storms of life come upon us - and all of us experience our own personal storms - we can rise above them all by understanding that the storm is really just a challenge brought to us by the Divine as a means to lifts us up. In life, growth from challenges is what life is about.

When you understand this, you will be able to rise above the winds of the storms that bring sickness, tragedy, failure and disappointment in your lives. You can soar above the storm.

Remember, it is not the burdens of life that weigh us down. It is how we handle them.
