37. Day of Flying Leaves
Today, I took a short walk out of office after lunch. As I was walking across the parking lot, a gust of wind swept by, causing many small fallen leaves to flow with it in a wavy pattern. Then, on the side walk, with another mild gust, a big dry maple leave came up from the ground almost to my shoulder level. Having noticed it in my periphery vision, I turned to it. There, right in front of my eyes, it nearly stayed still in the air for a fraction of a second and then slowly went back to the ground. I thought to myself, "This is deep autumn."
