Boycotting Carrefour won’t do harm to the Chinese employees in Carrefour at all. On the contrary, it will help them to get raise and a better work environment. The logic behind it is that the China market is like the Soup in a gigantic pot and Carre Four in China is one of the Bowls waiting for the Soup. The Soup here means Business Opportunities and Market and Profit Potential in China.

When we give less or no Soup to Carrefour, the other Bowls (super markets or domestic and foreign businesses) will get more. That is means Carrefour has less business to do while the others will have more. It is a tipping balance still in the Soup Pot; even the Soup will be yanked out of the balance tray in the Pot.

If Carrefour loses business and cuts jobs, the others will have more business to do and will need more helping hands. So the Chinese employees in Carrefour will transfer to the other super markets or services.

So please don’t worry about the temporary job transfer of the Chinese Carrefour employees. Actually, even we boycott Carrefour; it still dares not to dismiss the Chinese employees, because its competitors will take advantage on it.

I heard lots of Chinese Carrefour employees are complaining about Carrefour for its poor treatment to them, given a very short time for rest and tremendous unpaid overtime by the demanding employer.

The smart domestic competitors from the other super markets should actively hire the current Carrefour employees and permanently drive a powerful competitor, Carrefour out of the competition with them.

If the employees of Carrefour are smart enough, they should organize together to start a salary negotiation or collectively apply to quit Carrefour. Meanwhile, the smart competitors actively hire the leaving employees.

It will be a win-win situation for the domestic and other foreign supermarkets and the Chinese employees in Carrefour.

P.S. if Carrefour try to survive the boycott and is smart enough to stay in China forever; the best strategy for them is to cut no jobs and keep all those employees and give raise to those who want to leave. Ha~ Ha~!

The Chinese employees in Carrefour will be the biggest winner in this boycott event if they are smart enough to take this opportunity.
