This auction is for a collectible album (2008, 1st edition) of the series of oil-painting by the distinguished realistic oil painting artists Li Zhuangpin and Li Qin, titled the Oriental Goddess, emphasizing the series of the Mountain Goddess (or the Mountain Spirit), based on the most famous poetry by the greatest patriotic poet master Qu Yuan (Chyu  Ywan, Chu Yuan) (352-281 B.C.) in the Warring States period in ancient China.

 The Mountain Goddess has been a noble topic in artistic painting in China, though mostly in the style and method of Chinese Painting, by quite some great painters in China, however, the Li’s series is a unique one in that

 ♣♣       The first series in oil painting, especially in a series of multiple pieces of great paintings;

 ♣♣       A breakthrough in a life-like realistic detailing, e.g. the Goddess’ hair, and the

whiskers of the tiger and other animals, in the traditional oil-painting;

 ♣♣       A high integration of both Western oil and Chinese painting technique, from a master painter trained and practiced in both tracks of artistic painting;

 ♣♣       Li Zhuangping and Li Qin are not only the co-painters, but also, father and daughter, more over, painter and model in which the daughter’s elegant beautiful body was liberated and impressed vividly in the master pieces of the paintings.

 ♣♣       The bidding price is for the Album as it comes out of the printing company. (without signature of the painters);

 ♣♣       The price with the painters signatures is twice (2X) the final bidding price here;

 ♣♣       The price for the limited edition (from #1 through #100) with the painters’ signature is four times (4X) the final auction price here; and for a or any particular u-pick-up numbered ones, the price is six times (6X) the final bidding price.
