第一次聽到這首歌，還真以為它是首情歌， 仔細聽其實是一首帶有濃鬱民謠唱腔的思鄉之歌,描述了遠離家鄉後依依不舍又孤寂的心情。

演唱者是凱爾特女人組合中的 Lisa Kelly ：她有著一個明亮高亢，充滿活力，又不失圓潤，無須太多修飾的漂亮聲音。如果你曾感受過大河之舞的恢弘，一定會對她振奮人心，極富時代感的嗓音念念不忘。事實是，Lisa在作為女主唱加入大河之舞之前，已有了非同尋常的履曆——七歲開始演唱的她曾在多部音樂劇中擔任過重要角色。2005年，Lisa應邀加入凱爾特女人這個神奇的非凡團隊，毫無疑問，這是她職業生涯的又一次重要轉折。 很遺憾，據說她因為個人原因暫時離開組合一段時間了，，，

Caledonia原本是蘇格蘭的某個地方，歌中唱的是指蘇格蘭，而不是狹義的Caledonia。
在蘇格蘭享受的就是一種自然。這裏的景色類似於我們四川九寨溝，隻是沒有那麽高的海拔，卻更開闊、荒蕪。除了高地湖水，最不容錯過的自然景觀便是純靜的島嶼。有的被雲層覆蓋，好像隱藏在天空中的神秘小島。
