Letter of thanks

Dear (JOAN,LNYETTE)

I am writing to express my thanks to you.

As a new immigrant, we have to face many difficulties as we have to get used to the new society and the language. I ever tried to find some entry level jobs, but I found it was very hard to find a good job if I can not speak English well. So I decided to learn the language first. To me, that is an investment as it takes time and costs money. Fortunately, I have made the right choice. In Kwantlen, I got to know you, such a nice teacher and so many nice classmates. You are an excellent teacher, you are so nice and helpful. Every time I have trouble in my study, you are always happy to help me with patience. I know there is still a long way for me to crack English. But now I have become more confident. I am glad to say I have made some progress after one semester study. Before I joined this course, I did not dare to talk in English, but now I can use English in my daily life.

So here I would like to say “Thank you so much, thank you for your help and encouragement” I will keep working hard until I succeed.

Best regards

Yongyi(Winny) Xie

Winny:
Thank you for your kind note.
Of course I have really appreciated having you in the class. I can always count on you and a few others to have done their work!

I know that you will make good progress in your English studies.

I also know that you live in Richmond, so you may not come to the Surrey campus next September when I have my next classes. Do keep in touch by email and let me know how you are doing!

Joan

Dear Winny,

Thank you so very much for your kind words.  I'm sure that if you continue to work hard and find opportunities to speak and listen to English everyday, you will achieve your goals and speak English while working in your dream job!

Lynette
