[ I came to my office one hour earlier than usual this morning. Then I wanted to write down some of my ideas to share with internet friends. Since it is a 隨想, surely it may describe something what you are thinking or which probably does not accord with your taste at all. Welcom you to support, argue or attack ]
I often hear some internet friends complain that all stuff in internet is bogus and it is quite impossible to find a real friend there. I agree with this to some extent. However, the correct description, I think, should be that some are true, some have to be true and some are not true. If all things on internet were false, the internet world would be in a horrible mess and no body would like to come here. Some “clever” people like to put their all fake information on internet, for example, in their blog. My suggestion is that: do not put all false information there.
A man had better not put his gender as female in his Blog. If you do this with concealing yourself well, and you are excellent in daily life or your work, many young men probably visit you and try to access you in a few days after you establish your new Blog. A few weeks later, you probably find that your email inbox is crashed by rushing loving words and your MSN is getting more busy and ..... Then you are fed up with this. One day, you have to angrily announce to your boy friends (fans) that “I am really a man”. But no body believes you because they may think internet has fake stuff and you are kidding, and what is worse, they still think you are a beautiful girl because they have fallen in love with you. Gradually, you may love one boy or you are loved by one boy. No matter what happenes, the final result will be that you probably become a gay with or without consciousness.
For a women, the status could be the same. If you put your gender as male, it is not strange at all that one day you may become a lesbian since in the current world women have already started to seek for/chase men actively.
I am not a 高 人 as some ‘clever’ people did/do. I confess that I am a 凡 人 (hope I am not 煩 人 , Haha!) and thus I put my real gender in my blog. 凡 人 is unavoidable to do some 俗 事 . To be honest, not all of the information in my Blog is real. However, I can tell you that most of them are not false (信不信隨你). My friend TX is a 凡 人 as well. TX told me her real gender in our first internet meeting and thus the communication between us has been very fluent since then.
The point view of mine is that you can hide your real name, you can keep your age from others (because age seems private especially for women, see "Talk Women"), you can cover up your characteristics/features and you can …. But do not put an opposite gender in your Blog (of course you can leave it as blank) or in some important public places unless you want to have a sex appeal.
Postscript: It took me more than 1 hour to finish this. I am not a clever man and my English has not been improved much although I have been abroad for nearly 10 years. I do not care that you laughing at me since for lots of words I still need help from a dictionary. You know, I can not input Chinese Characteristics as I said in my previous article "Welcome". It is very hard for me to get the few Chinese words above by copy and paste. Another interesting thing is associated with the word “lesbian”. When I just wanted to publish it in the Blog I found, out of the blue, that the word I used earlier means the capital city of Portugal instead of “NvTongXingLian” in English. But I could not remember it exactly and it took me a quite few minutes to find it.
