After Reading the Report on Iken..

(2008-04-16 10:07:38) 下一個
This is a very good interview and the genuine passion of IKen touched me profoundly! The simple feeling inside most of us is we do not want to be looked down upon, humiliated or treated as if we were secondary! The west has not changed its stereotype on China, disregarding that China has been progressing into a new age. Who said that Chinese do not deserve Olympics held in their motherland? Who said that China does not deserve glory on international stage.I rarely participate any mass rally before as my work and family life make it difficult for me to do so. However, I went to China Basin 7 am on Wednesday morning with all my photographic equiptments and an urge that I needed to answer a call, a call that I had to answer after I saw the disabled brave girl being attacked and wave of negative reports on the media about China. I was in high mood that day and shot over 10 gb images of the rally, the passionate people, the cheerful faces, the see of red flag and the overwhelming crowd over the handful groups of those who dared show up opposing Beijing Olympics. With Iken's flight flying in the beautiful blue sky with long banner written in red slogan "Go Beijing Olympics, Go China!", I felt so proud of being a Chinese and did a little thing for China.
