18. 上帝對人類以罪孽掩蓋真理, 所做出的違反天倫天理的醜行, 正以天誅的方式自上而下顯現出來,
19. 因為上帝已經把自己簡單明了地告之於世(他/她們).
20. 既然自從造天地起, 上帝就已經把自己無法觀見的特性 -- 他永恒的能力和神性 -- 清清楚楚地讓大家, 通過他作造的萬事萬物, 看到, 理解 和 明了. 人類對此無任何借口可以假借.
21. 而盡管他/她們知道上帝, 他/她們還是既不榮耀他, 也不對他/她心存感激, 卻任由自己的思想變得徒勞無益, 愚鈍的心靈變得暗然無光.
22. 盡管他/她們自栩智慧不凡, 其實卻愚蠢之極, 竟然會以上帝永恒, 至高無上的榮耀去 23 換取廉價的, 模擬會死的人, 鳥, 獸, 以至小爬蟲, 而製作的種種像體.
18 The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of men who suppress the truth by their wickedness, 19since what may be known about God is plain to them, because God has made it plain to them. 20For since the creation of the world God's invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse.
21For although they knew God, they neither glorified him as God nor gave thanks to him, but their thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened. 22Although they claimed to be wise, they became fools 23and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images made to look like mortal man and birds and animals and reptiles爬蟲.
24Therefore God gave them over in the sinful desires of their hearts to sexual impurity for the degrading of their bodies with one another. 25They exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator—who is forever praised. Amen.
24. 因此上帝就幹脆把他/她們遺棄給, 他/她們因自己心靈中的罪惡追求, 而通過相互間身體上的倒行逆施, 所行出的淫亂肮髒.
25. 他/她們以上帝的真理換取謊言, 崇拜並服侍造出的東西, 卻不是造物主本身 -- 那永遠被稱頌著的, 阿門.
26Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural relations for unnatural ones. 27In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed indecent acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their perversion 墮落, 顛倒.
26. 為此, 上帝把他/她們甩給了恥辱的情欲. 以至於他們的女人都把原本正當自然的關係變成了不正當, 不自然的關係.
27. 同樣, 男人們也放棄了與女人之間自然的關係, 以貪婪的色欲灼燒著彼此. 男人與其他男人一起淫蕩不羈, 自做自受著對他們逆行的懲罰.
28. 更有甚者, 他/她們既然對上帝的教悔孰視無睹, 上帝便給予他/她們一個沉淪的頭腦, 做著他/她們本不該做的事情.
29. 他/她們被各樣的 罪, 惡, 貪, 墮 填充, 滿懷著 妒忌, 謀害, 爭鬥, 欺詐 和 怨恨. 他/她們在 搬弄是非,
30. 誹謗中傷, 痛恨上帝, 橫蠻無禮, 狂妄自大, 並且 誇誇其談. 他/她們做孽有術; 不尊從父母;
28Furthermore, since they did not think it worthwhile to retain the knowledge of God, he gave them over to a depraved mind, to do what ought not to be done. 29They have become filled with every kind of wickedness, evil, greed and depravity. They are full of envy, murder, strife, deceit and malice怨恨. They are gossips, 30slanderers, God-haters, insolent, arrogant and boastful; they invent ways of doing evil; they disobey their parents; 31they are senseless, faithless, heartless, ruthless. 32Although they know God's righteous decree that those who do such things deserve death, they not only continue to do these very things but also approve of those who practice them.
31. 他/她們麻木不仁, 無信無義, 心如鐵石, 殘忍暴虐.
32. 盡管他/她們悉知上帝正義的意旨, 告知著: 行此道者, 必死無餘; 他/她們卻不僅依然故我, 自行其事, 而且還特別與其他/她專行此道者一起, 結黨營私, 粇瀣一氣.
