Market view Update (9/22/08)

        今天的盤基本上還是在預期的範圍內的但是振幅比預期的要大。三大指數不但填滿了上周五留下的空，而且把周五的漲幅都回吐了。政府的救市計劃沒有能在周末被國會通過是今天 Sell off 的主因。加上美元大幅回調，石油合同到期日觸發“空殺空”的局麵，使原油價格在沒有任何重大消息的情況下一度暴漲達 $25. 這些因素加重了今天的拋盤。

        S&P 又到了一個關鍵的門檻，明天是關鍵的一天，如果 S&P 不能收在 1200 以上，則有恢複原來跌勢的可能。目前對近期仍維持區間震蕩的判斷。 震蕩的範圍調整為 1200- 1292。 中，長期下降趨勢不變。 SEC 對 799 個 Financial related stocks 實行的 short ban  對市場有較明顯的影響，改變了一些 financial short fund, ultraShort fund risk/reward ratio, 需要注意。今天的交易量比上周五有明顯的減弱。明天有回漲的希望。因為填空，和初步的 consolidation 的動作已經完成。 

        今天美元的大幅回落及10 年T-Bill 的拋售和政府的700B 救市計劃有關。增加了今後美元貶值和通貨膨脹的機會。 不過，現在就下結論說美元的升勢已經結束還為時過早。美元的升勢依然保持無損。而石油的暴漲仍然是短期現象，是由於空頭回補造成的。明天開始，就有可能回落。不過對美元和石油的動向應該密切注視，對大盤的走勢有影響。

 在這過渡期間，仍以觀察為主，少做交易。

Thank you for the updating. You are a honest man. I covered my put too before it dropped below 20. I think it will be safer to open the position a few minutes before the market closed. What do you think of credit spread? It has limited risk and limited profit.

I have a question for you: if the gov bailout plan include government taking an ownership stake in the troubled companies it bails out, how this will affect the stock price of the affected financial companies? Will this dilute the shareholders?
