實在看不過你這樣糊塗,說說為什麽AMZN 今天瘋漲.
1. AMZN 瘋漲的主因是季報前普遍看跌, short position 竟然有45million 之多, short ratio 達:6.8 (按average trading volume, need 6.8 days to absorb those short position) Short position 占 floating share 15%. AH, AMZN has positive ER suprise. It was perfort shortom for short queeze. You are not alone in this massacre. It could be avoid if you cover your short AH.
2. There are four upgrades today alone after AMZN report knockout earning report.
3. Before ER, AMZN had average rating 3.1 ( 4 is the worst) 20 analyst rate AMZN as hold, sell or strong sell. Despite terrible rating, AMZN out perform market in past 2 months. Long term moving average trend up, Short term moving average trend up. Because the expectation is extremely low, there is a little room to the down side and plenty of room for upside.
You should avoid to short this kind of stock at first place. Trading stock is not gambling. But you are not the only person to bet on wrong side. You mistake is: Risk management. After you know the ER yesterday, you should close your short position in AH. If you know above facts, it is not difficult to make this decision.
