re-enter US need to bring original I-797 approval notice?

2.My kid was back to China on 6/20/10,returned old I94(last entry). His H4 extension application recieved by USCIS 6/8/10 and got approval 6/14/10.I recieved I797 approval notice yesterday. Do I need to mail it back to him and have him show when re-enter US? Can help tp get H4 on I94?
