與網友聊天，談到“死亡詩社”(death poet society)， 我說那是我最喜歡的電影之一，於是要我把最喜歡的電影列一列。嗬嗬，我想美國人說this is my favorite的時候是有點隨意的，但我說的my favorite movie主要是指那些曾經感動過我，並在我生命中影響著我的電影，如果有時間，我願意再看一遍。
1。 Running Brave (1983)。 看這部影片是在十多年前，當時正處於困惑期，這部電影讓我震撼。電影是基於一個真實的故事。主人公名叫Billy Mills，來自一個印第安人的部落，在五六十年代，種族歧視仍很嚴重。盡管他因為擅長跑步而獲得大學獎學金，卻被同學歧視，難以適應白人的文化。他曾一度想休學，但他叔叔的死讓他振作。他叔叔個很有成就的藝術家。他叔叔死前曾對billy說過一番話，大意是我曾經有機會走出印第安人的保留地，最終因為受挫折而退回，但我很後悔，你要勇敢地向前衝，不要象我這樣頹廢。Billy重返校園，爭取到代表美國參加1964 年東京奧運會的資格，並在一萬米長跑中的最後關頭奇跡般的後來居上，獲得冠軍。( Billy 的傳記見 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Billy_Mills ) 。
電影的細節已經記不清了，依稀記得影片中有Billy在野外風中長跑的鏡頭。其實，人生中很多時段都是一個人在長跑，唯一鼓舞自己跑下去的是對生命的熱愛和超越自己的決心。
youtube 上找不到電影剪接，附上一段他最後衝刺的紀錄片。netflix 有這部影片，如果你正在人生低穀，建議你去借來看一看。
