Microsoft Surface

Microsoft released a touch desktop computer, called Surface. It focus on a new human computer interface that allows people to touch or use gestures the screen to control the computer. Multiple people can simutanuously collaborate on the same desktop.



Other devices such as cell phone, media player, camera (are they still seperated devices?), bankcards can all interact with the computer when they are put on the desktop. Furthermore, these interactions are visually feed back on the display.

The technologies behind it are 5 near infra camera that monitor the objests on the surface. See slashdot for details.
