On Friends

You cannot count on anybody. But you do need friends. Because we are social animals. We need each other for companionship, spiritual support, and for information exchange. // How many friends do you need? As many as possible. You need some soul mates. But they don't come from your close search. They come from your many friends. //  Don't expect anything from your friends. They don't have to help you when you are in trouble. // Do differentiate people. Not anyone can be friends. // You have to be choosy. But don't be too choosy. // How to make friends? You have to take the initiative to reach out to others. You have to be friendly to make friends. Make efforts to know people. // Be open and tolerant. Allow friends make mistakes. // Betrayal hurts. But if you depend on no one but yourself, but try to help friends as much as possible, it cannot hurt you too much.
