The happiest and saddest memory when I was a kid

The happiest and saddest memory when I was a kid happened when I was 6 years old.

It had earthquack at some city in China and some research orgnaization reported that our city had high probability to have earthquack. It was during students winter vacation, my mom and dad have to work. Mom worried my sister and myself stayed at home alone so she sent us to our uncle's home where located at suburb and where there were no high building.
I was a bit scary and a bit wired to leave away from mom. I asked mom when she is going to COME back, mom said probably about 2 weeks. I didn't understand mom meant that the quack alert is about 2 weeks. I felt so sad to wait that long to see mom again. Mom said Ok Ok I will come back about a week.

It was fine and some exciting to stay at uncle's home. My two uncles are close neibours and the two families have 14 children, plus my sister and myself  altogether 16. The two big "sisters" are over 20 so they didn't play with us. ...
